Thought Joffa did well last week. 13 hit ups for 128 metres, a couple offloads and tackle busts and 26 tackles. He came close to scoring and would've set up someone if they had followed him through the line too

Packer like figures.

Correct - Packers season stats in his 1st game :man-shrugging:

:flushed:  :man-gesturing-no: :joy:

We looked better with Joffa at lock. 6 passes which is an improvement on our previous 0 passes from the forwards. Would like to see more involvement from him in attack. Currently watching Manly play Warriors and JTurbo has already passed the ball 10 times in 50 minutes.

Also from this weekend so far:
- Isaah Yeo 16
- Junior Paulo 13
- Tyrone Peachey 26
- Connor Watson 10

That is definitely a trend but most of the locks are known as runners first, forwards need to run hard first to attract defenders before spreading it along the line. Think of what James Graham, Aiden Tolman and Frank Pritchard did for the Dogs in 2012.

Also, Watson started off the bench, impressive stats.

What are our thoughts on this big guy? I feel like he’s flown under the radar a lot so far. Hasn’t gotten much praise, hasn’t copped a serve, has just gone about his business. Does he get a pass?

I thought he had his best game for us, against the Knights, but I thought the whole pack lifted as well?

Maybe its the TV, but he doesn't come across as a big bloke?

yes a pass from here, seem's he is slowly fitting in ,more passionate, controlled aggression the more he plays, needs, 2 cut the sookin 2 the Ref out and get on with it,

I think since being moved back to the middle he has been great. I think we can safely say he is not an edge player but he is getting better every week.

FWIW, Im a big fan. One of the best middles we have had.

Couple of years ago we were relying on Jessie Sue & Ava

Remember in the under 20's? He was running 200-300m a game. If he had the mentality to play he'd be one of the best forwards in the game. Big, fast, agile.

Still think he's not near his potential.

I’ve noticed he gets under the opposition skin a lot, seems like one of those players you’d hate to play against but definitely love to play with

remember Kane Evans

Big fan of him and his work ethic.
He gives his all in the games and even when tries are conceded he follows up to make sure they don't come closer for the posts for the kick.. Does a lot of little things that people don't notice.

On the bonus side the Broncos are also chipping in for the salary.. Very smart buy.

Agreed, good in the middle. Enjoying his work most weeks.

Big fail. We need the few older heads we have to stand up and play consistent and hard footy. His form mirrors the side, good every third week. We are 3-7.
