Joe Ofahengaue #240

It hurts to see him go, he played with injuries that would usually put players out, he put the club first & represented the club well never any media scandals & you can bet they tried to find some.
I hope somehow they can backflip this deal but I wouldn’t expect him to be the type to go back on his word. Thank you for your time & efforts at the club, I wish nothing but good things for you & your family, but I still detest Parra.

Releasing Joe O is one move I agree with. Klemmer and Utoikamanu are by far away our two best props. Fonua Pole is a beast and a prop playing lock not in a way Sheens would want. Twal is your fourth option. Behind them we have Asitasi James who is a cheaper option. We need to sign a ball playing 13. Maybe roosters get sick of Radley.

Hahaha you want to sign Radley eh? Great thinking.

I wish u people relized that u need a squad of players not just starting players , this is a contact sport u get injuries and suspensions and u need guys like joffa , this letting him go is f******* madness

It’s madness if you are thinking about winning the next game.

Long term you can’t be paying your 3rd/fourth best prop 650k. Stefano has an option and will likely be a bigger contract this year Klemmer won’t be subsidised next year either. Pole if a lock can be signed is also more effective off the bench as a prop.
We have more depth at prop than any other position and that’s down to Flegg.

Did u watch the nsw cup today , there bloody useless , so that blows ur statement out of the water

Also one thing, Joe is a top class bloke. This guy has so much passion for this jersey despite being here during a dire period. One thing you'll notice is he's always last off the field, if some player is doing an interview or whatever he'll wait till they're done and give em a pat on the back before walking off together, little things but you need these sorta blokes if you going to build a good team culture. His performances haven't been bad (more so average which is forgiveable since he's come off an injury), maybe not his best but I'm sure he will get back to that in time. Not the type of player you want to move on.

Save Joe. These are the sort of actions that can upset a squad. He is a champion bloke why would anyone want to see him in another teams colours. We have overpaid alot worse players and there is no guarantee we get something better no matter how much we spend. He is exactly the sort of player who we need to set standards for the young guys and the club.
If it is not Sheens decision he should do some foot stomping and stop it.

One thing for sure - the rest of his team mates looked like they don’t want to see him go.
Must be very popular guy at the place.
I’ve always been of the impression he’s the type to always give his best and supports his fellow players all the way.
Seems the real problem is the $$$ he’s eating up and the fact he’s dropped down the pecking order.
That’s on the blokes who overpaid him (Warren McDonell on Sheens watch?).
If they’ve told him he’ll be probably in and out of firsts, and Parra can offer him a consistent spot on the same money, I can see why he might have agreed to go… even with a heavy heart.
The other thing is we might already have someone lined up to slot into the top 30.
It won’t be Johnson because he’s already knocked us back so I’m wondering just who that might be?

Watching the games joffa has always been vocal on the field first to get fired up when the opposition makes a mistake. Always thought he was good for building a great culture
