Joel Reddy to Souths or Sharks?

I reckon we should keep him. Reminds me of Mitch brown. Not a superstar but gets the job done. Decent under the high ball too.

Some people seem to think unless you are a superstar you don't have a place in the team. You can't fill a side with 17 match winners whose abilities are limitless, the cap doesn't allow that. You need pluggers in the side, guys who do their job without fanfare, and Reddy is the perfect prototype of that kind of footballer.

As someone said, the amount of Players going out the door & not many coming in, I would keep Reddy as he is very versatile & good backup.

He's been a good servant of the club in his short time here. I hope it continues but there are a few young backs coming through the ranks, & with the Lulia signing I wouldn't be surprised to see him leave.

But we have better players in his position. Where would you play him?

In terms of defence, I think he is probably one of the best backs that we have! It's just a shame most footballers are only assessed on their attacking ability, especially at the Tigers. It's probably why we have had consistently poor defence since the club formed.

Spot on,Reddy is a rock,we should be hanging on to him.

I would keep Joel for 1 more year , he only lacks real pace , he has all other aspects of his game covered and would still be handy for back up and guiding our young guys , this guys puts in each game and would not break the bank to keep him

It's fair to Joel to let him go. He is only viewed as a fill in for the future ( he would know that) and I'm sure at age 26, he'd like to nail down a permanent spot with an NRL club

His attack is also underrated IMO. Just been having a look at his stats
He has 3 try assists only Sironen and Farah have more ( Marshall also 3)
15 tackle breaks
18 offloads only woods has more
3 line breaks , 2 line break assists

He isn't amazing but the offloads are something we lack and it gives us good 2nd phase play

I rate him, I'd personally prefer we keep him but I won't be too upset if he was to leave.
Defo an under rated player that deserves a start somewhere.

Thought he was older too!
See what happens I guess.

It's a tricky one.
I'd like to keep him for depth, as if he did re-sign that's probably what he would be as our back line is looking strong next year. He would have to play NSW Cup and only get a go in first grade due to injury.

However he is better than that and I think he deserves to be playing first grade somewhere. Seems like a good bloke so I'd like to see him continue a first grade career. I'm sure other clubs would happily take him.

Would be playing in the lower grades next season maybe sees a better option elsewhere .I don,t have any problem as the cultural shift is on and the broom is working overtime ,have wanted this to happen for years so can,t complain about it now.

he can set up his winger on the right better than anyone IMO.
best in the club at taking bombs
best defensive centre in the club

when you pick him, you know what to expect. fulton and reddy on the right side will mean that our right side will hardly ever be breached.

i have rated him highly and supported him throughout the time that he's been here.

if he leaves, good luck to him- i;d prefer that he stays with us.

spot on he does seem like a good bloke and if he can get a 1st grade gig elsewhere I wish him well….as I doubt he would be in our starting line up next year.

Keep him. A good steady dependable centre/ winger who knows how to defend. Will progress into a handy second rower.

Like to see him kept on as a versatile backup and mentor to the young kids. However, if he wants to try and get a starting gig elsewhere, for his sake, He should go. As someone said, like Mitch Brown, solid and dependable. If he leaves, good luck to him, but I hope he goes to souths, the bloody sharks are pissing me off now. This has now gone too far.

Obviously the Tigers don't know how to use the Salary Cap correctly, or we keep paying overs for useless players? Why are other clubs keeping solid players like Reddy, but we're getting rid of them. He isn't part of the cool group with mbenji and alike, so why does he need to be shown the door. Hope this is all bu##%@it form the papers.

Keith Leluia is a similar sort of depth signing. Maybe its about Potter wanting a different option, or Reddy wanting an upgrade but the club not ready to pay it?
