Look I understand alot of us are frustrated at the constant speculation with no concrete infor but no need to bit the poster head off.

He or she just heard the rumour and posted it.

After all it is a discussion forum so just a little bit of mutual respect please

Sorry Smeg, I just don't like things posted that can damage our club further when we are obviously in turmoil. I just think it's irresponsible.

The more our posters make a point of trying to stop it, even if harshly, hopefully the less of it there should be.

A bit of tact is all I would ask for.

Why be harsh and possibly limit someones future contributions to the forum.

It was merely relaying something which had already had media exposure therefor is not a risk to the forum IMHO

I agree. Whilst I appreciate that civility is a good thing, if people are going to post rubbish they have to expect to be called on it. We're more chance of signing Wally Lewis than Luke Lewis…

The question we need to ask, is Reddy better than what we have?

Well, we don't have a fullback. He is better than Ryan, probably better than Brown. Considering he can play FB, wing and centre, probably not a bad signing - at the right price.

Exactly. Expect Reddy to be named in everyones team every week in the "your team for next week" threads. He'll do the job.

Hey dont shoot the messenger, just repeating what some joe blow off the street with absolutely zero credibility said.

then if thats the case you should have asked yourself if the rumor was worth repeating considering the guy had 'zero cerdibility'

How come some posts are scrubbed by the moderators, because the content is rubbish and some with rubbish content are OK?

I also believe he is better suited at wing or fullback than centre. Most likely to see him on the wing, I think.

considering we have lawrence,i thought a good marker would be to look how joel has gone against him.
after looking through what i have on eels games,i didn't see one game where lawrence made a line break through a reddy tackle.
while benji has made reddy look foolish a couple times, there aren't many that benji didn't do this to.
found a couple breaks were due to numbers on the inside, and not poor defense by reddy.
done a pretty good job over the years against a potent tigers left side attack.

while i don't know what his consistency is like week to week,i think an open mind in regards to this signing might be wise.
for the right price this could be a good value signing.
does he have any history with frequent leg injuries?
would be the only thing that would really turn me against the signing apart from dollars.

Only reason we'd buy a journeyman centre (who is too slow for a winger)when weve got two good centres already ,plus young blokes coming thru is…he's gonna play fullback!
Groundhog day..Johnny Morris all over again from the visionary supercoach
Doesnt matter if he's hardly played f/b before-he's now the chosen one who will never get dropped...

Is Joel Reddy Mr Dynamite one of the new signings that is going to catapult the Tigers to a premiership ? think not, a total clean out and new direction we sign Joel Reddy ..this is truely inspirational! Big price /right price forget it this signing will show just where the mindset is within this club.

anyone remember last yr Sheens comparing Lawrence to Laurie Daley? so what if Sheens is tinkering with moving Lawrence to 5/8,Marshall to FB and Reddy coming to play in the centres? with Sheens anything is possible

I'm not 100% sure but I'd be surprised if reddy is older thn 24 hardly a journey man

"journeyman"in the sense of,as the dictionary defines it ,is someone of "ordinary competence" who will never exceed that standard.
Thats exactly Joel Reddy.
Doesnt matter whether he's 20,25 or 30…he's just gonna be an average 1st grader at best
We shld only buy such players to plug clear gaps in key positions ..we definitely dont have a gap at centre.
bUt we do at F/B...which he isnt

League players peak at 24-28 , i thinking were getting him in his prime . I think he will be a good fit for us at fullback. He will be a big
Improvement on this years fullbacks .

I want FB with exceptional speed & support play. Either use 1 of our youngsters or chase someone worthy of the position. Reddy doesn't fit that role. I would categorize him as another Brown, safe option but doesn't offer much in attack..

No thanks!
