I think this signing actually spells bad news for Nof. With the Leilua boys on that right side attracting defenders we need someone fast who supports extremely well to take advantage of the room they create. Imagine a half bust by one of them and they look out wide and nof is 10m behind the play, the opportunity lost.

In reality, Alex Johnston would be great outside him.

I prefer Nof to a dud bb.

Agreed. You have to compliment JL with a really fast winger on the outside. No use having Nofo on the outside only to be pulled down from behind when in the clear. You would hope this was thought about prior to JL's signing.

Luckily JL excels at getting passes away inside the opposition 20. Nofo goes ok there.

If he can get the away from inside the 10, Jennings might rocket up the tryscoring charts again.

He definitely will - but only if there is no one in front of him.

This was at August 1 2019...for long range Tries...

Off the 722 tries cored to that point only 95 were scored starting from over halfway by all teams...

627 TRIES came from inside the oppositions 40.....Finishing a TRY is far more important than running 100m to score one as they all count for 4 points...the long range TRY may look great for the feels...Both Thompson and Nofoaluma can find a TRY...

Even twal assisted with a long range try in 2018

I'm looking at it this way.
THink of all the brothers that played for the same team in the past and present.
Brett & Glenn Stewart
Tom & Jake Trbojevic
Now....Joey and Luciano will have the same impact.....bring on the 2020 season!

Can't help but think that this thread would be double the length if it was announced he was going somewhere else.

Ha probably. Because we can't sign anyone apparently.

Looking forward to the ride that is BJ Leulua.

All im really interested in now is which side of the field he ends up playing and which players ie his brother or Nofo do they put around him. This will be the key to his success. He needs to work defensively with those put around him otherwise it wont matter how line breaks he makes.

Mate I will take a dynamic player with a mistake or two in him over a safe player who will never threaten every day of the week.

Same. this is why i like the signing.

Just quietly i think he is the classiest centre we have had since Terry Hill.

Chris Lawrence by a long way. Injury destroyed what would have made him one of the most talented players we've ever had.

Classy = euphemism for a back lacking genuine pace.

He actually looks in pretty good nick. Ive been ghosting the raiders forums (A bunch of pretty well natured fans tbh) and there have been quite few runours that he returned from his honeymoon badly overweight. That coupled with the fact that he was excused from the Raiders bootcamp up north made me worry he would be badly out of shape. He doesn't look far off playing condition IMO.

Massive difference with Latrells condition.

Yeah I think he's looking in pretty good nick given his natural body shape - looks pretty lean and powerful in the legs and arms. He'll be sweet for round 1.
