Leulia has left the bubble for family reasons and headed back to family in Canberra.

When he signed with us I was massively skeptical and unfortunately it's been a bad move he's been a train wreck

Hopefully he goes for good tbh

Personally issues we really should not comment on that's really his own businesses to sort out wish him well getting it sorted.
Football wise however we can comment and considering the suspension earlier in the season that was not what we needed at the time, should have only got 2 weeks if the judiciary were consistent with Mitchell.

The season is gone anyway and we have some talent coming through like Talua and we get back Mono next season that will put pressure on him in 2021.

Can we just pull the plug on this season, it's becoming ridiculous now.

I'm talking about the whole competition.

Can’t believe you lot giving a man crap for looking after his wife and kids! Family comes before everything.

Yup, some rubbish comments for sure.

Only wish he did this while suspended though!

Smoke & Mirrors...

The real reason is that Sydney KFC's have been instructed to refuse him service. Drive-through attendants have his mug shot in the booth. ACT KFC's are federally owned hence will do whatever they can to separate the average punter from his hard earned

These are issues that would not be a problem in normal circumstances but being locked up is an issue with family matters .. obviously those rubbishing him do not have families that need attention from time to time!

you guys reckon the NRL should still play teams who aren't in finals contention?

Like the NHL and NBA for example

What happens if there's a salary cap breach like 2002?

What family issues could he have that Luciano doesn't also have??

he's married with kids I think

His family would surely be in Sydney.

But perhaps a mother in law is ill or something like that. He deserves his privacy for now. Details may filter out later depending on the context and if he and the club are ok with it. Otherwise it's his business and stays that way.

yeah man, agree

The Wests Tigers’ bid to end a nine-year finals drought has suffered a stunning blow with one of their star players sensationally leaving the club’s biosecurity bubble.

Fiery centre Joey Leilua has stunned the Wests Tigers by taking leave from the club just days before their must-win game against Canterbury on Sunday.

News Corp has learnt Leilua told officials on Wednesday he had to leave the bubble for family reasons.

It is understood he has since returned to be with his extended family in Canberra.

By doing so, he has broken the game’s biosecurity protocols, which means he will be sidelined for at least 14 days if he returns to the bubble.

However, it is unclear if Leilua plans on returning this year.

The Tigers have informed the NRL of Leilua’s actions.

“Wests Tigers have today confirmed that centre Joey Leilua has returned to Canberra due to personal family reasons,” the Tigers said in a statement.

“Having voluntarily left the club’s bubble, Leilua will be placed in a temporary COVID hold as per NRL guidelines.

“Wests Tigers have informed the Project Apollo Group and will await further advice after consideration of all circumstances.”

He and his brother Luciano joined the Tigers in 2020 to play alongside each other in the NRL for the first time.

Joey is going to get himself sacked if he keeps misbehaving like this

Why is it misbehaving?

I think he just left without asking...that's the impression the article gives anyway

No it doesn't, it states he told the club he had to leave the bubble.
