He did good against bulldogs last time we played them. Not sure what centre he’s up against but neither Holland or Lafai are any good certainly not on Joeys level. Give him early ball and he will create and score tries for fun

Joey is a good addition to the team. When he has received good ball in their 20 he has always looked dangerous and this team has needed an attacking weapon for a long time.

One thing I have been pleasantly surprised with Joey has been his willingness to do some dirty hit ups in our own end. He isnt lazy on the field.

The brain snap and suspension is indefensible, but I think all league fans know he has that moment of stupidity in him.

I think he will be valuable to us for the term of his 3 year contract. Based on his build, I do worry if he will be of any use to us after that.

I know. It’s just absolute garbage. I have to commend the mods for this place though. It all is mostly constructive.

C'mon jumping the gun usually comes with the territory of being a WT fan. As does self-imploding, inflexible beliefs and bias. You wouldn't be a true supporter if you didn't play the blame game (at least once) or continually question media agendas and player honourability.

In all seriousness though, it's good to know that everything is well with Joey and his immediate family.
In the bigger picture this is just a game, and family - and their health and safety - should always come first. Think we can all understand this.

I agree. Why Brooks is back at 6 I don't know. The sooner we can get rid of him the better. Our season is pretty much shot so why would you have an average boring player like Brooks in the side over Reynolds beggars belief. I like Joey and his passion. At least Joey tries things. Im up for that every day of the week. We have enough plodders in our side.

So many fans so quick to cast a judgement without the facts, then waste time analysing the "intent" or "hidden meaning" of club press releases.

It starts to border on twitter-type toxicity, frankly. Even the earlier suggestion, along the lines of "what can't his wife drive herself!?!?" and it gets 4 or 5 thumbs-up. Toxic.

You have to wonder, honestly, people complain so much about the apparent fragility or "lack of mental toughness" of players during football games, but think nothing of heaping crap on those same players week on week, or at a moment's notice based on something they think they read in the paper. As if the two aren't related, as if the player won't do better if there is less external noise.

Esp during COVID year, without precedent. I suppose everyone outside of football is doing just great, no fighting with the wife, no stress or pressure, no unique challenges, no mistakes made or difficulty concentrating on the immediate task.
