This is hard to argue with . Unfortunately this will be the cycle until 1 batch of youngsters find sustained success which forces everyone after them to wait . Most won’t though because they thought they were on the tigers youth conveyor belt .

This may be true .
But not too many people have positive things to say about him .
You know the guy is polarising when people start the sentence “look John is John “ .
This is all too familiar for me . As that’s how people talk about me . I couldn’t care less though .
I don’t think John is an intelligent human being , and lacks accountability. But I also think he might have had a point . The problem is he picked a game where he really did shit the bed as captain , to voice his opinion . It really did undermine his position .
 
Moving Bateman on was a good move from the club - and I don't think he was bad for us I think he was decent but his contract was all in his favour. He wasn't worth 4 years on good money. It was smart by the club despite anything he says.
The media love a controversy when a player is moved on while under contract re Lomax Hunt Gutho.
 
It’s all history and you can write it any way you like, the fact is we are better off without him even though it might look at the moment like we don’t have an adequate replacement. With patience it will all work out for the better.

Yep, his contract was the problem.
I don’t like all the BS about him being toxic etc….thats a distraction being run by those who don’t like the guy.
This was about his money.

Common sense is common....

Wests Tigers look to get rid of an overpaid underperforming Klemmer and it's a genius stroke by Richo and Benji to save the club a heap of money (Even though Benji signed him)
They do the exact same thing to Bateman and is because he's a cancer - Despite playing at the top level for a very long time....
How does that get figured.

I think that's not the only reason
- I think a few of the older heads are not sold on the new My Bro style coaching....
and might have made it known.
