John Morris Gone

His coaching record isn’t outstanding. You’re right our edge defence is targeted by opposition teams.
What about someone like Fitzhenry?
He coached Southcity to a group 9 premiership.
Has played every position in the backs.
A local wests magpies junior?
And the clincher…he’s a 2005 gf winner.
Wouldn’t that be ironic , the perennial scapegoat along with Shannon McDonnell to be the first 2 names on the “how the fark is this guy still in first grade “ list , along with with Luke brooks , Jahrome luai this year , Seyfarth etc… that guy is the saviour . It would be a pretty funny story

Are we any chance of getting back the local junior, who was DallyM Rookie, of the year DallyM halfback of the year, and a triple Kelly Barnes recipient. He did a good job at Manly. A great replacement for Luai?

if he does leave manly would be surprised if it was to a club outside of sydney, he is pretty keen to stay in sydney apparently.

crap from above - honestly what workers actually give a rats what them so called above perched behind a desk say or do.
And the year got hijacked by Dwayheehe n the walking logo.
we need a defence C to bring some steel back into the team - easy?lol
Me. Ive been in workplaces witn trash leadership and it trickles down.. it ends up being a crap place to work. I went elsewhere for less money to do the same job but its far more enjoyable.

You’d have to ask Jedi mate. He’s a family friend I think . I think the stars may be aligning .
It wouldn’t be on him anymore as you’d say the keys to the kingdom are locked away at Chalet Le Fainu , with Bula renting the pool house out the back ,and uncle Api making regular visits .
To be fair the team he’d be coming back to would be by far the strongest he ever played with . Brand name recognition years like 2012 and 2019 included.

Some of the names being posted are frightening. We need young coaches who are across the modern game, able to relate to the today's playing group and are excellent communicators.
You’re not in a position to call other people’s suggestions “frightening” considering your history.

Weren’t you the one leading the “trust in Sheens and Benji” cult and then proceeded to slink off and disappear when we started to 1-8?

I suggest him a few days ago, he can teach the boys versatility and skill having played in the whole backline, even being an impact back off the bench. And his priceless gf experience make it a no brainer

No news

Brooks look like he played without the monkey on his back at Manly I think this club would be absolute last option he would want to take on again - and if that's the case it's a relationship left best in the past.

Maloney did some assistant coaching at the cows back in 2024 but got sacked for a drink driving charge
Maloney has been a winner but he's also as loose as a long necked goose and probably wouldn't be your first pick for instilling great culture in the place.

All that aside, he thinks we are a joke and wouldn't come near the place anyhow.

Anyone with zero links to Benji or the Tigers is an immediate upgrade.

The real joke is the Tigers still don’t have the balls and or IQ to completely clean house. Johnny 'Cronk' Morris leaves of his own accord, while Hodgo and Heighno somehow keep their jobs after another disgraceful season.

What exactly are the standards at this club?

Same failures. Same mates. Same protected jobs. Same pathetic accountability.

It’s the same jobs-for-the-boys bullshit that has infected this club for years. A serious organisation would have put a broom through the entire coaching staff and demanded better.

Instead, we keep rewarding failure and pretending things will magically improve.

Keep running the club like amateur hour and don’t act shocked when the ladder delivers a 14th–18th finish next season. At some point it stops being bad luck and starts looking like failure is exactly what this organisation is deliberately manufacturing.
