I repeat every club has explayers in coaching mentoring positions.
Rookie coach Keiran Foran aiming to bring premiership winning team mate Brett Stewart on board with his new coaching team.
Some people actually believe that is what builds culture in a club having players that have had success wearing the jersey and remain connected to the club.

Thats all well and good ...and I agree but there comes a point i think where a line should be drawn....whats the ultimate goal.here?
Getting some positive, succesful working attacking footy being played or
A team that cant score but has a good culture....
NIRZA* has been a problem for a while.now

No problem with anyone being replaced if they fail but all clubs build "culture" on the back of players that are connected to the club.
This "boys club" tag (specifically aimed at the 2005 players our only successful squad) as if it's a problem is not unique to this club and I would suggest that other supporters of clubs like to see their ex players associated with the club.
Success is built on the back of clubs developing and retaining talented players - WTs has failed miserably at that since 2011.
Our problem is continual failure for a myriad of reasons taking aim at the one lot blokes that were successful does not build culture.

You’re right, this does happen in many clubs. Manly has been fairly successful in the last 20 years and can afford to implement that strategy. We however have a really small sample of success which suggests we should pick another strategy.

I understand the thinking in not making mass coaching changes and theyre probably thinking with Luai gone and hopefully a settled spine with Latu featuring along with the attack of Averillo...theyre probably gambling on the attack improving.
If we can.avoid off field distractions...might help as well...Twal admitted the Luai stuff did play a part

Let's hope that Luai can do the same and provide lots of distractions with his mid season PNG obligations and shit on field form for the Parra-sites next season and then stink it up real bad in the land of the head hunters the year after.
