Wests Tigers will be looking to defend their title as reigning ‘Battle of the West’ champions when the competition kicks off on Saturday, February 4.

The NRL’s highly successful Membership Drive ‘The Battle of the West’ is back bigger and better in 2012.

Wests Tigers will again tackle Western Sydney counterparts Penrith Panthers, Parramatta Eels and Canterbury Bulldogs, in this race to sign up the most Members across the month of February.

The race starts tomorrow and finishes on Friday, February 24, with the winning Club receiving $10,000 from the NRL.

Wests Tigers Captain Robbie Farah encouraged fans to become Members.

“Members are more than just fans at Wests Tigers. By becoming a Member, they demonstrate a real commitment to our Club to support us through thick and thin,’’ Farah said.

“Loyalty like that is very inspiring for the players and we need as many fans to take the next step and become Members.

“During this Battle of the West race, I hope Wests Tigers fans who have not yet become Members will be encouraged to join us and kick off the 2012 season with a big win”.

2012 Membership numbers are well on track to surpass the 10,000 mark for the first time in the Club’s history. Now is your chance to take part in shaping this Club’s future by joining our army and fighting for the black, white and orange in the 2012 Battle of the West.

We'll have 2 out of towners and a benji's bub's and maybe 2 pet memberships as well.

I won a bet against my Souths mate, Tigers finished above Souths on the ladder so he was forced to by a Tigers membership yesterday.

Doing my bit!

Now he doesn't want to have the same bet this year, I guess thats what happens when you lose 3 years running.

I live in Tamworth and have a family membership bought both my sons memberships and my brother has one too / only complaint is they are a bit slow with cards and seating details do I can plan my visits

Spoke to the Office last week and they said we will probably finish up somewhere around 8500-9000
Not alot when you look at other clubs like the Rabbits who are over 12000-13000!!
If only we had as many members as we do Facebook fans…. Oh, We're a fickle bunch!!

yeah but are all those rabbitohs, dragons, bulldogs members fully ticketed? from memory you could get membership for a pittance and they send you a bumper sticker and lollypop for clubs like that and they would class that as membership.
