Wests Tigers and Tim Sheens have today come to a mutually acceptable and confidential resolution of their dispute.

Both parties are pleased to have reached a resolution.

Wests Tigers Chairman, Mike Bailey, stated that Tim Sheens will always be regarded by the Club, its players and supporters as part of its foundation fabric having coached at the Club for over 11 years and steering the Club to its inaugural Premiership.

"Tim developed and nurtured a vast talent pool into some of the League's front line players. He was instrumental in the Club's success and harnessed talent such as Benji Marshall, Robbie Farah, Aaron Woods and a host of others."

Mr Bailey reiterated that the Club and its players valued Mr Sheens as a Coach and figurehead and that the decision to move to a new Coach was about a need to regenerate and had nothing to do with alleged discontent amongst the players.

Mr Bailey said that "Tim has a proven track record and would be an asset to any club. He will always be revered at the Club, though he has moved on."

Mr Sheens said "I am pleased to have the dispute resolved and to put the matter behind me".

IMO the Tiges should be giving him bugger all, he made the statement back in 2011 that If his side didn't make the Semi's then he would walk away, apparentley that statement was made 'off' the record despite it being stated in the Media both print and radio.

No that statement was made before the 2010 season. We did make the finals after he said it. Two years in a row.

I think the statement was a myth

Nah he did say it. It was when his contract was expiring. Club gave him two more years - 2010 and 2011\. Then at the beginning of 2011 the ckub gave him three more years - 2013, 2014 and 2015\. Sacked him after 1 year.

Why is Mike Bailey so prominent in the media?….we never/rarely hear from other club chairmen...but Bailey cant seem to stay out of the media for the WT...I just wish he would go away!...

Possibly he felt the Storm that was brewing and felt that he had to report it!!

What BS from Bailey…he was part of the board who decided to give Sheens a 3 year deal then put Sheens... If it was all about the need to "regenerate" then why offer him a 3 year deal only to let him go after 1 year... Bailey is full of ***t and he expects us to believe in this!!

Great news, I'am sure he probably screwed us, but so good to finally get rid of him. Give me Potter any day, okay he is yet to prove himself in term of trophies, but as a person went past Sheens years ago.

I just hope one day good guys come first for a change

Good news. Thanks sheens for 2005, 2010 and 2011\. He is a massive part of WT history- will never be forgotten. End of an era.

Good bye Tim.
