Hi champion twentyforty, Dennis Tutty forfeited 2 years salary by not playing footy in 1969-1970 whilst his legal action took place; and Gorden Tallis chose to sit out the 1996 season again while (1) contracted to Brisbane in the Super League but (2) not let go from his final year contract to St George Dragons.
Lost monies sure for leaving a contract but not actually a pecuniary penalty from the league.

Thank you Tiger_one. I remember those events now that you mention them. Tallis’ case was interesting because he had 2 contracts alive at the same time. In the case of JAC Storm would need to show some compassion and understanding of the players situation.

This "compassion" factor is getting more and more common, both here and in the UK Super League, where players sign a contract, stay a bit, then their individual personal situation changes and they approach their club to leave for this "new" personal reason.
Not good for the fans though.

I think most nrl fans would be sad to see Josh run out in roosters colours.Mail I have is between Tigers which is Josh choice or Cronulla sharks.I think Tigers should pay slight overs in this case as I believe Josh can add to Tigers attracting other current rep players and is definitely a hit with the fans

I just don't understand how Sharks are even in the talk.. They have like 6 quality back that are falling over each other to make the team and they are on alot of money.. How can they even create money for JAC..

They’ll find a way....plus they probably think they’re losing Xerri to the rorters

Spoken to a few storm fans and they reckon they will be happy with a swap for mbye

Lol funny statement.
My favorite poster of 2019.

Anyway that's really all we got to offer em.

I think I need new friends lol

Lol the fans can be happy with what they want but they have no input in these type of things.

How's the storm tho....
Lose Slater, cronk, Hoffman, Tohu, etc.

Now Curtis, Chambers, Vunavalu is an embarrassment and is off to union. Addo Carr wants out...

Smith will retire soon and Bellamy will abandon the sinking ship.

Hopefully some dark years incoming for those cheating scum.

Everyone is gonna laugh when they field brenko Lee and sandor earl as their wingers until they score 20 tries each and they get another minor premiership

Yeah let's send them Jennings, they will probably even turn him into a superstar! ?

Xerri to the Roosters will free up some space for them I imagine. It has been reported he wants to go there, just a matter of when.

I think the first priority for Pascoe and co is to secure Addo Carr's signature then worry about negotiating his release for 2020....

Mate I'm beginning to feel that Pascoe is pretty useless at this stuff. Couldn't secure a root in a brothel let alone a good player when one is on offer.

You guys slay me - Pascoe is on a hiding to nothing.

He says nothing, doesn't sign someone - the guy is useless.

He signs someone - the guy is useless.

Exactly what do you want him to do Spud?????

Sign someone to bolster our piss weak backline for a start. Stop promising things he can't deliver. Glad you're happy with our off season recruiting - easily pleased.

Who is on the market that you want... AJ???? Maybe JAC when available (not yet).

Just about everyone else are signed, do not want to come here or are not as good as we have.

On the other side of the coin - do you know who he has made offers for etc.

You and hsvjones are bigger whingers than the whole of the RNS Nursery department.

**You, it seems are a Pascoe hater** - he is doing his best and the best CEO we and Balmain have ever had, Don't know about Western Suburbs.

Pascoe is not a miracle worker. If they don't want to be here, do you want him to physically drag them over to Concord?

You know what? I have never said a bad word about the guy until that recent post, NEVER! So I don't know whose posts you have confused mine with because I have always supported the the guy. I am only just now starting to question his ability to get the job done and I have my reasons for doing so. Whether you agree with them or not, I don't really care.

Feelings mutual Spud.

Just don't like to see a guy made a scapegoat who is trying his best for the club and all of us.

AND NSG - I don't give a stuff what he looks like.

Just see it now ... LM, JAC, Arrow.... they all rejected Tigers in 2019 because Pascoe didn't look like he was going to a dinner party. Lol.

I think , Gallagher is the one your thinking of Russell . He never fails to lay the boot in to Pascoe.

You are definitely right there - unfortunately Spud posted at the right time in the wrong place. Apologies Spud.

Just don't think Pascoe is as bad as people make out.

Youre still a whinger . Block me all you want . It more shows your weak character than anything I do or say . There’s a few of you who clearly live inside your echo chamber. With your I told you so’s , hanging on every loose connection to link it back to how crap the club is.
I still see your rubbish and clear agenda , and it makes me laugh. You thrive on the negativity.
It’s not me just me who sees it . I’ve never seen you say something positive . And I lurked here for 2 years before posting.
Sorry mods I’m not about to hijack the thread .

I particularly fear Brisbane may be right up there next season. Them and Parramatta. A JAC type would make a massive difference to our place on the table. Not only with his ability, but team belief and harmony too. As good as Matto was on the field, I can't help but think that his attitude last year couldn't have helped our chances in the end. How good would it be to be above the middle of the table for once? I'm not sure how close Madge is to Bellyache, but I'm hoping there's something between them given their history that will allow them to enable a switch for Josh to us. I think we'll be bottom 8 for another season at this point.

If Matterson was as bad as you mentioned I'm sure a player would have leaked the issues to the media

We had/have a few that have been around for a while and know how to drop a bombshell or two .....

Pretty sure that there was a Buzz Rothfield Shoosh post at the start of the season along the lines of "Which premiership-winning player regrets leaving his old club" If true, the leaker was most likely Madd-erson himself. Around the time we were flogged in the Warriors Trial.
