Yep he’s only a boy; he’s not tough; he’s weak as ...; yada yada yada

Last bloke who was mentally weak is now tearing it up, will get parra to top 4 and is not far from origin

Who wins?

Not us

still mentally weak and no matter how he plays is an absolute flogbag.....

Agree but we lose - again and again and again and again.

Now we hear Souths call in business heavies to secure Latrell and we lose again and again and again

Bloody sick of it to be honest

I'm with you Steve, I'm bloody sick of it as well.

With regards to Matterson and Moses, yes they are flogs, dirtbags, dogs or whatever - it's only WT supporters who think so, the rest of the rugby league world think they're great...and yes they will still be winning.

You could form a GF team from all the players we couldn’t hang onto. Not to worry, We are now trying to buy back some of them. We need to make Tigers great again!

I thought id have fun with this. Anyone want to fill the gaps?

Tedesco number 1 chicken
Lol o he aint no good
Suli eeping in the car again
k naqerd after playing 15 minutes
JAC the ripper player we need
Moses is a slimy Eel
Aust in superleague now where he belongs
Wood snot want him back

Lodge an appeal

Matterson is a Sookilala and Slimeball

I wish
Taupau
Gavet to
Matterson

Don’t really think that team is better than what tigers currently have though some shrewd recruitment retention would of been better

I would of kept lodge taupau JAC and teddy. Others are meh.

Masters could also be still here making noise about wanting an upgrade and he would have removed close to 100k that we still have.

We lost a player who thought he was worth more than he was getting its called drawing a line in the sand

We may have had a player that Melb would be interested in a swap for JAC though.

That is assuming Nofo wants to go to Melbourne

I'd love that

As would I. Couldn't imagine Bellamy being remotely interested in it though.

i'm not sure how the salary cap works. But if there is a lot left in the cap for the tigers can they just use it to pay players currenlty on contract? so in future years we can use it to buy players?

Yes, and I think this is exactly what will happen. We also need to fill the roster spots though and I can see them being filled with development players

Apparently you cannot do that any longer!

You definitely can. I think some here are getting confused because you can no longer BACKend contracts.

if that's possible (front end) then i can only see that as a positive. Sign away end of 2020 and 2021! :face_with_cowboy_hat: :+1: :+1: :+1: :call_me_hand: :call_me_hand:   :call_me_hand: :call_me_hand:

I agree with you and think that is what will happen, but the other side of that coin is we fill the rest of the roster for 2020 with cheap/development players and it could be seen as sacrificing 2020 for future years.

Sacrificing 2020 is unacceptable imo. Not good enough and questions should be asked.

im ok with it mate. tanking for future success!

Ermmmmm....what is the point of tanking if there isn’t a draft ????

And how are we tanking? Our roster isn't markedly worse than last season although Matterson's loss will need to be filled by development by a mystery player at this stage. Unless we tanked last season??

lol the meat raffle continues...I'm told Nofoaluma is rubbish so why would the Storm take him...?

Nofo is not rubbish he is the only real first grade winger we have and with storm he bellamy can probably tur his defence around. We have nothing really else to offer by way of a swap its a winger for a winger it is at least worth the club offering.
As far as would Nofo want to go well two options Reggies or sit out season

The Foxx wants out of the Storm. A messy management dispute could derail his exit plan

In a move that could jeopardise his Melbourne exit, Josh Addo-Carr has reportedly hired a lawyer to help his split from his management team.

According to The Sunday Telegraph, Addo-Carr, who is set to leave the Storm at the end of 2020, is reportedly unhappy with his contract after learning a fellow State of Origin winger is on $550,000.

Addo-Carr, whose current deal is said to be worth $330,000 in 2020 and $350,000 in 2021, is yet to field any offers from rival clubs after the Storm announced they would conditionally release him at the end of the season on compassionate grounds.

The Sunday Telegraph reports two individuals not connected with Addo-Carr’s management company Pacific Sports Management have contacted rivals on the NSW star’s behalf which is confusing the situation further.

Addo-Carr’s manager Chris Orr said he couldn’t see why Addo-Carr wanted out, saying “we have done a terrific job for him since taking him from the Tigers to the Storm and having his contract upgraded”.

Orr said he’d take legal action against anyone claiming to represent Addo-Carr.

Late last year the Storm confirmed they’d allow Addo-Carr to return to Sydney to be closer to family, but the club’s position hinged on them being able to secure a player of equal value in return.

If Addo-Carr is unable to find a club due to his messy management situation, he could be forced to remain at the Storm for the final year of his contract.

We have all had some practice reading between the lines lately.

My guess is this one is instigated by Orr, a veiled threat to JAC rehashing a quote from last week. Not expecting a move before the start of the season as this suggests Orr and JAC will need to sort themselves out.

No thanks nofo is the heart and sole of the club....I’d rather come 9th with nof then 7th with the fox...it’s called ethics....our time will come we really have only changed things around since 2018 imo board and club wise

Nofo bleeds west’s tigers...and you want him out for a mere 7th or 8th place ...not worth imo...don’t get me wrong I’d love JAC but not at the price of nofo just pay the damn fee

I really don't understand the moaning about the dropping of Matterson. We got nothing for him, etc etc. Yes we did get something for him. Team harmony.
If you've never worked in a team you might not get that. It was absolutely clear at the end of last season that the current WT squad wanted nothing to do with Matterson. Wise decision to show him the door. He was too good for us.
Bye

Twal and Aloai are his best mates.

Can someone say 'exactly' who fell out with Matterson just so we can clear it up?

Because it def was not them.

So, who was it?

Not many fell out with him. It became untenable when Matterson was about to play the Mental Health card. He believed that his career was going to be shortened by playing under Madge because Madge expects players to train and play with niggles.

Good question. I have no inside info but have always believed Matto was disgruntled because he could get a contract upgrade, despite doing the lions share of work. While other players earned a whole lot more.
