Josh Aloiai #190

I thought it may have been because he has been making quite a few errors, dropped ball etc, I'm sure he'll be back soon though he's a tough player

He gets caught on the ground in the ruck way to often even happened in Reggie’s. Hope he can sort it cause he definately is talented

All I know is I would definitely pick him at starting second rower with Lawrence over Rochow and would just drop Rochow all together so we can still have Chee-Kam the beast on the bench.

Thought that he finally got a pretty clean off season and on the whole has not lived up my expectations. Still has some time to step up and has not been able to concentrate on a position, but seems his days on the edge are done.

I hope IC gave him the rocket he required and from the ISP I watched last week he was very impressive.

I hope he is named in the NRL team this week and Rochow is given a rest.

We really need an aggressive Aloiai off the bench as Penrith have a very impressive and aggressive pack.

Need to fight fire with fire.

i dont believe this rotation of the squad stuff that's going on

i think cleary has a system of KPIs during training and during the games- i just hope that the players are always aware of what they didn't achieve when they're dropped or not dropped because if players start believing that they're getting dropped unfairly, they'll revolt.

Good coaches dont treat everyone equally.

Imo josh Aloiai is being ridden hard and asked to really have a dig.

The coach knows that if he gets him right he is a difference maker in our pack.

It’s clear to see. But I’m not sure he has ever done a pre season, so maybe getting him ready for a different role down the track as suggested. He’s a class above isp level…..ran through half the pack to score on weekend.

Agreed, he is a quality footballer. ISP defences will struggle to hold him.

For me id just like to see him show that he wants to be a star player. Not just a part of the team. Show a bit of ego.

Once he does i think we have the player we have been looking for.

Ego ruins teams aka farah the old marshall and so on.

If stays in line he could be anything

Think that might have been autocorrect … he needs a bit of aggro.

To quote Skyhooks "Ego is not a dirty word"

Im not talking about being an idiot around the club and thinking you run the place im talking about self belief.

The best sports players in the world all have ego.

Its what makes them tick.

Could have been for a similar reason as Fonua? Discipline issues?
I just don't see how he can be dropped and not making the team over Sue and MCK.

Cleary is picking the team on form. Rockow is the only forward you might think of relegating, but he has been there from game one and really is getting a job done for Cleary and I dont think his stats reflect his value to the team.

The ball is in Josh's court as we all know he could be anything

I think Rochow started the season well but I think his form has dropped off the last few weeks. And he misses way too many tackles.

You are correct regarding Rochow. So far this year he has made 291 tackles (teams second best) but missed….46! Compare to Eisenhuth 336/15, Matulino 244/14 and Twal 228/5.
