Josh Drinkwater

They had big wraps on him coming through the juniors, and then he just slipped away, never really heard much more from him.

Was supposed to be the next big thing, hope he does well here. Some good young halves we have in Moses, Brooks, Martin & Drinkwater.

@RugbyLeagueNews: BREAKING: Former Dragon and current London Broncos halfback Josh Drinkwater has signed a 2 year deal with the Wests Tigers

Add him to the failed career thread?

6\. Moltzen
7\. Drinkwater

NSWCUP CHAMPS!

He's only 22…played well in NYC...wouldn't be on a fortune and adds depth in a position we're short....

Kicks goals as well

Played well at Manly.

Like most went nowhere at the Dragons. Bennett signed him and Price didn't know how to coach halves

Had a massive wrap on him in the juniors. No idea of how he's been in the ESL but the London Broncos seem a pretty dismal team. He's probably a decent signing.

Hopefully Taylor can help a lot with the halves this year. We saw what he can do with Pearce.

Realistically we would then have 6 half/five-eighths next year in Brooks, Moses, Martin, Moltzen and Drinkwater. Siro can also cover 5/8\. But it's certainly a worry if Brooks/Moses go down. Martin is unproven against men. Moltzen is borderline useless, so Drinky may find himself some first grade time if he performs well in NSW Cup. Still spewing we let Austin go, but hey…that's footy.

Drinkwater is a decent depth signing.

He never had any wraps on him as a junior. Saints signed him and their fans talked him up as a gun without even seeing him. Nswrl standard, nothing more.

I suppose we do need a backup though and it's not as if there's a lot of halves sitting around waiting to be signed. Would have preferred we got Jacob miller back.
