Josh Dugan

Mullaney is a far better prospect, and cheaper at the moment.

I cant agree with that.

Mullaney has been going fantastic in under 20s BUT Dugan has been awesome in first grade this year. I don't think at the moment any fullback is playing better. Yes Mullaney will improve but so will Dugan.

Wait until a knee or ankle injury gets him just like every other talented young player, i don't blame these young blokes looking for dollars these days if the kid does his knee in the next few weeks who is gonna offer him a contract on good dough after he has been out of the game for a season. Take it when you can get it i reckon when your at that age because you see it all the time these young guys who look to have a big future only to be set back by injury and never have the same interest in them after that because the next kid has popped on the scene and taken peoples eye, or they just never get back to the type of player they were before the injury.

Exactly right, dont think that there is currently a better prospect in the Nrl at the moment. In his second year of first grade he has been in the best 5 fullbacks in the comp and continues to impress week after week. Apparently very STRONG rumours he has already agreed to a deal with the Roosters from the start of 2012.. Would hate to see him go there more then anything.

Agreed, you only need to have a stellar debut or sophomore season and you can more or less name your price for the rest of your career. Jarryd Hayne has been lucky to turn up for more than 20 minutes a game this season, which is less than what I'd expect for $500,000 a year. Braith Anasta had a good start to his career, and has been able to name his price since, even though he is consistently voted as the most overrated player in league, Mortimer upgraded his contract and isn't having a great sophomore year. Willie Mason was great until he locked in a big deal at the Chooks and then it all went to buggery and now he'll put in a big year cause he has to play for a contract.

Wouldn't surprise me if Dugan locks in a big money three year deal and goes to the wall or gets injured. Its a shame too, because the majority of players have no loyalty to the fans anymore. It's not out of the ordinary to see players at their third or fourth club now, and its the clubs own undoing because they are willing to throw big money at talent that has yet to prove consistency.

He is playing "awesome" in first grade because he was given a chance to play first grade from the NYC!!!!

Mullaney is playing better than Dugan when Dugan was playing NYC. So projecting from that, Mullaney would be playing better than Dugan next year if he (Mullaney) was given a chance of first grade this year.

Maybe if given the chance, Sheens would play him at fullback and not lock or second row. But who knows?

Josh Dugan is a great young footballer who is going to be a star for years to come. He would be a great addition to our side, BUT I don`t agree with poaching talented young players from other clubs who have developed these players from a young age and are now established first grade stars. Leave that to the likes of the Roosters who love to poach players, the Wests Tigers are a club that is good enough to produce our own and as many of the above posters have eluded to, we have a very talented young fullback in Jake Mullaney coming through the ranks.

Ok i see where your coming from, but Dugan was killing them in U20s as well so i think its a stretch to say Mullaney is performing better than what Dugan was in the 20s. Though if that's your opinion then fair enough we will have to agree to disagree.

Anyway i do think Mullaney is a great option to have at the club, just really would like to see him add some bulk to his frame before we throw him in at the deep end. Just look at how good Coote is going with Penrith this year after adding some muscle.

he is good but is he better than players the Tigers have waiting in the wings? He is bigger than Mullany at the moment but give him a another year or so and i think he will bulk up and be amazing. I don't think Dugan can kick..

Not only is Dugan better than what we have coming through, he's a better prospect than anyone in the game. He's going to be a sensation. He would be an unbelievable signing

Will be one of the best if not the best fullbacks within 3 years

came out today and denied the link with the roosters

From his standpoint, he'd be mad to sign anything yet. He should be testing the waters to see what the clubs are dumb enough to pay him.

Whoever gets him will be paying overs though.

eVERY CLUB WILL BE AFTER HIM, **WE CANT COMPETE.**
Apparently he's a done deal at the Roosters anyway

Lote Tuqiri

again in todays paper he is definitely leaving Raiders cos he hate sthe coach & CEO. Would be a perfect addition to us, but as many have said, seems a done deal at Roosters.

Dont want him…he has a bad attitude, very Todd Carney like.....The Furners are good blokes, Dugan has the problem.
