Why do you think it was interesting?
Are you suggesting both parties did a cost benefit analysis and it was in the interest of all concerned to revisit the alleged events without emotional bias?

Interesting that a lot of people judged his character ..had the block hung draw of quartered before all the facts came out only for all charges to be dropped before it even went to trial..

In fact I believe the ‘woman’ whom was pressing the charges never actually existed?

30 year old Josh Reynolds.... manipulated by a girl who's real name he didn't even know.... played like a fool by a career con woman who's allegedly slept with old retired AFL players and other C grade celebrities.

Heart breaking stuff hey... sounds like a soap opera.

Good outcome for jr. It's a shame it took so long.

SG reported before the news broke.
Good job to him.

Reynolds is still guilty in my books.
Guilty of stealing our cap space and underperforming.

#Sack him

Cap space had little to do with the thread.
Although at times sg post were of interest but in this particular one he/she pushing a dramatised agenda

Yeah maybe embellished on some facts but it all came to light and no matter what the police outcome is still a bad look for all involved.

Controversy aside.... Reynolds has always been unstable and erratic on the field. His ability is limited despite "making it" as @cochise claims. He's been very lucky in his career and was lucky enough to be a part of a winning state of origin side but at the end of the day.... in the current age... He's not a starter at any club. As shown by the lack of interest in the NRL. He's a dud and we need to make him some one else's problem.

Congratulations to Josh - I am very happy for him and the result. I hope this will allow him to move forward now and find some peace and happiness, and enjoy his footy.
Just as an aside, I do think that with the way his case has all evolved you would have to have some reservations about the way the police have conducted their investigations.

On the subject of JR's football... from the outset of his signing I had hoped for the best from him, but my original concerns proved correct. His greatest strengths in the past have always been his relentless enthusiasm and energy (sometimes misguided), rather than his specific football brain, talent or skills. Realistically, he is a relatively poor passer of the ball, his kicking game is average, his defence just OK, he has poor game management, he is getting older and more injury prone and is not as fit as he was when he was able to chase everything and follow the ball for a whole game like he did years ago. His recruitment (thanks mainly to Ivan) was a gross misjudgement by all involved. Actually I don't blame JR for this outcome - the blame is squarely on those involved in the process at the time, and obviously part of the reason behind the words and actions of Madge's recent recruitment policies.
I truly hope he is able to contribute, but I can't really see it happening as the rest of the squad are well ahead of him and he has really looked fairly average as a 9.

Agree, I didn’t understand why it became such a polarising event? Or why people were so readily assuming they knew all the facts? Anyhoo, it’s fish n chip wrapping now. Reynolds has got an opportunity to get his life back on track now. And the girl? From the sound of it , so has she.

You’d struggle with the vocab . But back on track - don’t you think your character assassination has been shown to be unjustified? The bloke has been through a nightmare situation and had to live it out in the public eye. Would bring many to their knees. You’ve crucified him - don’t you think a retraction is reasonably justified??
