Bit worrisome that it took investigative journalism to push the matter through the police.

It may just be coincidental timing, and maybe the police knew that the accuser had a dodgy past, or maybe they didn't know anything at all and didn't dig into it until the papers ran the story.

What it clearly shows is that the NSW police dont have enough resources at their disposal.I cant say that i am shocked by this maybe Gladys Beakynose will try to sell them off like she is selling everything else

Wests Tigers have today been advised by Josh Reynolds’ legal representatives and New South Wales Police that all domestic violence charges against him have been dropped.

Josh is relieved that this matter is now behind him and is fully focused on preparing for his side’s trial match this weekend against the New Zealand Warriors.

Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe said the news was a great outcome for Reynolds.

“This news comes as a great relief to Josh as well as our club,” said Pascoe.

“Josh has carried himself extremely well throughout what has no doubt been a very stressful time for him and his family, and we look forward to him continuing to play a key role for this club on and off the field in the years to come.”

@Demps @willow why my initial thoughts were there was a lot of missing evidence to what always seemed a very minor altercation. Who’s the real criminal here?? Honest question.

It was a bit hard for me to post any more information than I did but I was never in doubt that Josh would be acquitted in this matter if indeed it made it to court. I'm not surprised in the least that the charges have been dropped because the case was only ever circumstantial and Josh had a defensible position. I just shook my head at some of the comments on here because no one aside from one person on here had the facts of the matter.

Anyway, Josh will certainly sleep easier tonight.

Absolutely. The desire to dramatise all of this from the beginning from the media, the OP (not surprising knowing that bloke) and people on here was awful.

Must be a massive load off his shoulders. I hope something turns around his on field form now.

Edit: This also opens his options off shore as well which I think will be significant.

Just a word of caution, it can take a while to regain his form. Just thinking when Tiger was hit with the niblik it took a couple of years.
