Interesting outcome..

Why do you think it was interesting?
Are you suggesting both parties did a cost benefit analysis and it was in the interest of all concerned to revisit the alleged events without emotional bias?

Interesting that a lot of people judged his character ..had the block hung draw of quartered before all the facts came out only for all charges to be dropped before it even went to trial..

So you saw the footage and think that's acceptable considering the circumstances... is that right?

Yes I saw the footage and it wasn't a good look granted but I don't think he was ever charged into relation to it...again without knowing the full facts surrounding the circumstance I prefer not to pass judgement..either acceptable or not..

Reynolds was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm relating to an alleged domestic violence incident in December.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/coupler.foxsports.com.au/api/v1/article/amp/nrl/nrl-premiership/teams/tigers/multiple-aliases-and-fake-pregnancies-josh-reynolds-accuses-ex-of-wild-double-life/news-story/8af0da4db7d8581652729a96cb5b883d

And ...?

It was widely reported the video was a separate incident to the charge of domestic violence...both were self reported by Reynolds...the charge has since been dropped

So at least 2 incidents?
Probably many more than we don't know about.

The guys shown his true colours Geo.
Sure the other side is questionable but is this the type of guy you're supporting ?

A grown man that clearly intimidated a woman and verbally abused her?
That's a choice he made.

If as willow aludes to - had an uninvited intruder in his house he could have called the police at any time. He made the choice.

Are you happy Geo, that Josh is free to continue his career at our club despite these allegations despite charges being dropped? You gonna cheer him on in women in league round in his pink jersey?

It's a bit rich that you say many more we don't know about are you serious these guys can't even fart with out it making front page news and if there were it would be all over the news
I would like to see your reaction if you were place in Joshs situation.
With the ex girlfriend now under police investigation there definately appears to be a lot of fake news thats been reported.

Yeah how rich to think a woman will take her boyfriend back multiple times after abuse... forgive him and try and work things out for it to happen again...

I'm sure that's something that never happens.

Agree, I didn’t understand why it became such a polarising event? Or why people were so readily assuming they knew all the facts? Anyhoo, it’s fish n chip wrapping now. Reynolds has got an opportunity to get his life back on track now. And the girl? From the sound of it , so has she.

Because that parasite low-life smoking gun/wokesmoke/wokebloke had an agenda.

Just another example of how clueless he is.

There is no denying this now. He went all in Josh Reynolds being dismissed from the club. Agenda 101.

He isnt alone however and some people seem to be doubling down like he did rather than admit they went off early.

Ima make it real simple for you....

Josh is an extremely injury prone and aging player who has played 12 games for us in 2 years....

He is not an overly skilled player with limited ability.

He does not work overly well with our halfback....

These off field issues bring his character in question.

He is on a big, lengthy contract.

We are better off without him.

As i thought, you arent even debating the legalities of the case. Was very obvious. You just dislike him as an over paid footballer.

Sorry Demps but others have been talking about the acutal legal issue here.

All of us agree he is over paid.

Go find a Cleary supporter and start a beef with them.

Same question I already asked...

In light of the new evidence and charges being dropped... do you think the way he responded in the footage was acceptable?

I do Demps, and that's because I know the circumstances in how she made entry to his apartment.

Do you mean "their" apartment?

No I do not.

What's the deal willow?

You like Reynolds?
You feel sorry for him?
You're not fussed cos the charges were dropped?

It appears to me you're defending him.
Do you like having him at our club?

The deal is you have a beef with the bloke. You got stuck into him when the charges were first paid, assuming he was guilty and you were part of the reason the thread was originally closed because it was a poor look and things spiraled out of control. When the truth about his ex started to come out, you changed tact and criticised him as a footballer instead.

Do I like Reynolds? Never met the bloke Demps so make up your own mind.
Do I feel sorry for him? Yes, but the truth was always going to come out and he has been vindicated accordingly.
Am I not fussed because the charges were dropped? No, I'm not really fussed because this matter was always going to be a stretch to take to trial.
Am I defending him? No, I simply don't make assumptions and hang a bloke out to dry without knowing the facts, and I knew the facts.
Do I like having him at the club? No, I always felt we paid 'overs' to sign him and he hasn't delivered, so it was a poor business decision. Not dissimilar to Jack Bird at the Broncos.

See my previous post boss.

I think you're on the same page as me.

I've already said i saw this situation as a way for us to be able to cut ties and walk away from an atrocious contract with a player who doesn't benefit the team.

Club first.

You can't just cut ties and walk away from a contract. Reynolds was innocent, you can't just kick him to the curb because you don't like him as a player or the fact he may not offer value for money. The damage that was done to his reputation before the truth came out was sad and disappointing.

Do you think you can contemplate putting yourself in his shoes? I bet you can't for a multitude of reasons, but at the end of the day he was proactive and transparent in reporting what he suspected was going to happen and the club has a duty of care to him, as a player and as a person.

Now he can move on with his life.

Should be the last post of a locked thread!

Good news for Josh. Hope he can put it behind him and move on with his life now. Concerning the boffins at the DT referred to him as the ‘WT hooker’. If he plays there we are cooked.

Big call mate.
I saw a very weak man calling a woman multiple names in an intimidating way.
I really doubt that's the first time he's done that...

As I said way back in the thread I have friends who have had similar situations.

All I know is if I was in the situation I would walk away and go about it the legal way to protect myself from ending up in a situation like this.

Different people, different circumstances Demps, easy to say when it hasn't happened to you. so the next time someone turns up to your place unannounced in the early hours of the morning (let's say just after 1:00am), kicks your door off the hinges and makes entry to your place, let me know how you speak to that person.

Demps I'll spell it out for you mate. The charges were dropped for a number of reasons, but one of those reasons is that they were nothing more than allegations, allegations with no substance hence why the charges were dropped. Calling him a repeat offender is a garbage call because he's not an offender. You've got to stop firing from the hip, you won't hit squat that way.

I as a man, know, the best play to make would be to notify you and your boys.

Controversy aside… Reynolds has always been unstable and erratic on the field. His ability is limited despite “making it” as @cochise claims. He’s been very lucky in his career and was lucky enough to be a part of a winning state of origin side but at the end of the day… in the current age… He’s not a starter at any club. As shown by the lack of interest in the NRL. He’s a dud and we need to make him some one else’s problem.

Excuse me! Where have I ever said that?

Sorry, must of confused you with the other apologist @avocadoontoast

Some of the ridiculous things I read on here blurr together sometimes between the face palming I'm forced to do.

Then stop reading your own posts

Yeah start reading yours instead.
Have to escalate to upper cutting myself into unconsciousness

You’d struggle with the vocab . But back on track - don’t you think your character assassination has been shown to be unjustified? The bloke has been through a nightmare situation and had to live it out in the public eye. Would bring many to their knees. You’ve crucified him - don’t you think a retraction is reasonably justified??

Yeah Steve... Your vocab is so complex, congratulations. ?‍♂️?‍♂️

And no. We all saw the footage.
We all know the story.
You still think how he acted was acceptable?
You think he's a good person and player that adds value to our team and club?

Get him outta here.
He's a dud and the way he spoke to a woman, no matter the circumstance with his bird chest and receeding hairline... absolute disgrace.
Might've got lucky with the chick turning out to be a renowned groupie and con artist but to me he's shown his true colours.

His legs won't last the season.

So... you don’t like being personally attacked.
But it’s ok for you to attack others
Interesting ?

Why do you think it was interesting?
Are you suggesting both parties did a cost benefit analysis and it was in the interest of all concerned to revisit the alleged events without emotional bias?

Interesting that a lot of people judged his character ..had the block hung draw of quartered before all the facts came out only for all charges to be dropped before it even went to trial..

Club first.

I want the club to sever ties with him as well, but they have no grounds if he’s innocent.

Good on him for reporting it to the club.
I think that was damage control as the storm was coming.

The charges were dropped ayyy now he's innocent.

Context mate.

If it's a 50kg female....
I as a man, know, the best play to make would be to notify you and your boys.

If it's a 100kg male, he may be subjected to the Lomachenko treatment as it would be my right to defend myself if I feel threatened.

Like I said, different people, different circumstances. You could put 100 blokes in that situation and get 100 different outcomes very easily.
