Ink was maybe trying to send you a Private Message meaning PM but it's not allowing him to send it to you Gold Coast Tiger , you have to in your settings through User Control and allow PM's to be received , hope that helps mate .

Just some updates for the people that are interested. Ink and Jerry…Look away.

Players tomorrow will be tackling the Wanda Beach sand hills at Cronulla.

With JT the field sessions are shorter than last year but he has substantially increased the amount of video work done each day.

JT's main focus will be defence....I don't want to leak too much...ahh Jerry....you know...but the club is the most professional i have ever seen it...on the field that is !

Hope it's going to pay off, and maybe with the more experienced S&C team in place they are no longer making the players do 10 laps around the oval and and some modified burpees to finish it off.

Maybe JTs different approach to the preseason training could create some refreshing confidence and keenness to the playing group…
Thank you Irvine for the update,it is early days yet but let's hope the players attitude has changed for the better..I'm looking forward to more positive news after Xmas,heading toward the trials with hopefully a majority of the NRL side fully fit...

FTB,some positive input would be appreciated.....

That someone is finally targeting our major weakness is a welcome relief in itself! I would love to be able to support a team that has strong defensive line for once in my life - it's been such a long time.
 
That is a joke in itself.

We leaked over 600 points this year and the only person we kept was the defensive coach. He and JT must be good mates.

I am hoping for a big improvement in 2015\. or he should definitely go.
 
Agree Russell,if Kidwell was in charge of defence last year,then heaven help us…
I certainly hope JT has much bigger expectations from him next year,otherwise they both need mental assessment ....

If we continue to leak points like the Titanic did water,then we are well and truly SUNK......

JT seemingly doing very well so far!
 
Defence is something that is sometimes in this club is a dirty word . Even in 2005 we would sometimes have games where all you had to score against us was be able to catch the ball.
Sheens would have a blitz on defence and we would be better for a week or so then it was back to our line defence being softer than marshmallow.
That is what really hurts, watching ordinary players look like superman strolling through for tries that a park player should be able to stop.
Fulton was the only player over his time here , that was consistently able to tackle. The rest had memories like goldfish when it came to remembering how to defend
Hope TAylor has better luck.
