Junior & Jay Head to Belmore

I've just noticed that Junior Roquica & Jay Bonnell have been listed to play with the Dogs NSW Cup team this weekend.

Of course, because we love all our tiger cubs & magpie chicks equally - or some equally Hallmark sentiment …

Dogs obviously see a use for them ... Good luck to the lads

I've seen quite a few games that Roquica played in the NYC and personally I would have put Groat and Begovich way ahead of him from what I saw. Not saying he couldn't play, but for a big unit he didn't have the mongrel or go forward the other two had.

Wan't Junior the '30' year old playing NYC and Jay a hooker, will they be missed?.

Mate,

I'm 30, and the guy looks old enough to be my dad.

He didn't really kick on, did me? I always thought we'd see him last year in FG.

Yeah, Junior looked like he was old enough to be Gene Stanley's brother.

Jay was by means no terrible player, but had plenty well ahead of him.

Both have done well to get a NSW cup gig, Junior got worse with each year, at first i thought he was going to be an excellent player, than just a first grader now maybe a NSW cup player…maybe I overrated him to start with.

Both really nice guys but..I don't think they will be missed.

Junior stood out in his school days against kids but they eventually caught up to him.
Jay same sort of thing, a star at 15 but couldn't get a spot in the Wests SG Ball at 18.

Hope a change of club gets them back to the form that saw us signing both of them at a young age.

Just doesn't have quite the drive and hunger needed to succeed at the top level. Good luck to him at the Bulldogs though, Hasler might crack the whip on him.

Whilst we're at it - Best of luck to former Magpie centre Andrew Everingham at Souths.
Every time I saw this bloke running around for Wests I was impressed - hope he goes well (except against us of course).
