Junior Moors

why do we spend money on players who play positions we don't need???..then we whinge we don't have enough money in the cap for top notch players!… :deadhorse:

Why are we always buying Panthers off-casts….they might have the biggest nursery but they have been ordinary the past few seasons.
This guy (if true) has the size to become a footballer however not sure about the heart.

the kid was gonna be the next big thing, but things didnt go hes way
i always though change of club will do him good just like bronson

Actually it might be sheer genuis that we are continuing to do this to Penrith. As you say they have an unrivalled nursery, particularly of big strong islanders but dont seem to know where to go to even buy a clue. As a result I think it is inevitable that they are going to let some class slip through and hopefully we can snare one. Whether Moops is the one is yet to be seen but I vividly remember him ina few games in 09 he looked very good.

Gotta be a Balmain or Wests Signing this one. Surely! Makes zero sense otherwise.

How doesn't it? We lack size even in the lower grades esp with Laurie going. Not saying I'd be relying on him to be the next Moi Moi but this signing makes a lot of sense to me.

I rate the guy.

Provides a good aggresive runniong style.

I think you will find this is a Folkes special as he has always wrapped the kid and tried to get him to the Dogs off the bat several seasons ago

that is what i am interested in.
i don't care how big the player is as long as they play aggressive and challenge the defensive line.
if he can produce 20mins of sound defense and impact off the bench i will be pleased.

At his size & age he's been recruited as a interchange prop at best, just like the role Laurie was performing until his indescretions.
Not sure why we need Moors given the young guys coming thru can fill this role.
The difference between him & Laurie is at 25 latter didnt really get into footy until a couple of years ago,so may still have development left in him(subject to his attitude).
Moors has been around a while,& at 23 had a couple of good coaches attempting to improve him,but not much result despite his size & potential.
Sheens will have to do a Bellamy to turn Moors around…good luckto that

Coming off the bench - running on the fringe of the ruck - he can be devastating. With his size, we will play him at prop (and rightly so) off the bench. With the right attitude - could be a good and relatively cheap (I'm assuming) purchase.

What about someone like Moi Moi? He took a long time to hit his strides. 23 really isn't that old for a big forward.

Yep,Moi Moi is one of many examples I guess of big guys who matured late,& I hope our lad joins them as a success story.
Odds are long against him though.
But just beacause hes large doesnt qualify him for success .
I hope Sheens & co have isolated the reasons which have held him back, & have conviction they/he can rectify.
The fact he plays second row/lock at his size suggests immobility/speed may not be the issue..I havent seen him play so i dont know
Good luck to him

People are suggesting he has an attitude problem.. From what im aware of this is totally not the case…

The kid was injured late last season or early this season and dropped back down the pecking order at Penrith...

Their fans are disapointed that he has left and im pretty confident we have got ourselves a good one, especially with Folkesy's tutoring...
