Looking up our wingers. 76% (Tupou) 79% (Nofo). Wing is also slightly harder to defend as you face speedy guys who will want to run past you.

Does Newcastle have 2x leaky wingers. Nope Dominic Young at 81%...

Makes a hell of a difference with Dane Gagai and Bradman Best as your center pairing.

Wait, the knights have 4x halffbacks on their roster.. Phoenix Crossland, Hastings, Adam Clune, + unknown junior Ryan R... Along with Tyson Gamble, Faamanu Brown and potentially Kalyn Ponga at 5/8... WHY SO MUCH DEPTH..!?

How on earth did we not pinch a halfback off them.

Agree with you post but the lack of class in our centres concerns me.

OH YEA!

When Manly had to offload some players ages ago. They kept Jamie Lyon and Steve Matai, even when we know they would have juniors coming through.

Everybody is screaming "halfback halfback halfback". Halfbacks help with setting up the tries, Centers help with completing the tries and maintaining a defensive flank.

I think Madge tried to get us a good pair of Centers in BJ and Roberts. He failed though to manage either players. Then went and took a punt on a pommy center which did not work out at all.

Fixing our centers would have helped a lot this year.
 
So Junior is off contract end 2024… so can be signed elsewhere for 2025 come Nov 1…?

He might have some interest from other teams,,

Personally … I would have preferred him be extended first over Toa… although he is a work in progress as well like most of them …
 
Hoping an announcement is made with him extending his contract over the next couple of weeks!

A year of ups and downs, but with more experience I can see him becoming something special in the NRL.

I actually think he'd make a better centre, but if Feledy progresses as we expect happy for him to play on the wing...provided he doesn't drop any more sitters!

Off season, maybe 1 bucket once. If your training like league players do they will just burn that.

Tupou lost us some games. He needs to be willing to put his body on the line, particularly at Winger because if they get through they get through. ... That said, Off season have a break.

Honestly hoping Tupou sorts out his weaknesses and becomes a high performing winger. He can do it.

No thigh pieces.
He’s a little rough at times but if he’s gunna do extras then he might just smooth it out.
I just keep reminding myself of a try he scored from trapped on the sideline, he cuts back in beats 4 and scores.

Thigh is the best part, particularly with KFC.. You see legs and wings are the part of the bird that moves, hence they get favour (and why I should go no where near anything SPorts related).

Kid has potential. He really needs to get less "little rough" or do it in reserve grade IMHO.
It's year 1 for him. Lets see what year 2 brings.
