Justin Matamua #259

All for opinions, but have to laugh when people directly claim superior insight into our players performance and potential than our coaches.
Looking at the state of the club and ladder positions, could any of us do any worse. We suck all round

Have to Laugh at people who assume 3 Footballer mates are NRL Coaches,
And development experts now
- Just because they decided they could be....

Yeo was NOT a late bloomer - he was a regular from his 2nd NRL season in 2015 (at 20 YEARS OF AGE) and has only ever played less than 20 games per season in one season (2019) due to injury since.

He did start out as a lean and lanky centre/back-rower - before moving to the middle and really finding his niche - but has been a regular for 10 seasons!

You don't get to 235 games at 29 years of age if you only became an NRL regular aged 23-24!!!

There is zero comparison with Matamua - who was always a ball-playing lock in the juniors but NEVER played lean or light!

He's lazy and unfit - because he coasted on talent in the juniors and appears to lack the desire to become a professional!

He has some good role models in the squad if his heart was in it!

This forum needs more fact-checking!
I actually thought in the juniors (HM) Matamua played in the halves

Joel Caine often talks about how they Trained just 'Happy to be part of the NRL' from day one....
Complacency here, It's as old as we are...

We should have got Brad Arthur....
Joel Caine was last at the club in 2001 under Terry Lamb FFS!!

The Hoppa finger year - Field/McGuinness drug bans - Trent Runciman playing NRL etc ....

NEWSFLASH from the obese TAB turd "Sugar" - the 2001 Tigers weren't very professional under Baa!!

Long bow to draw between 2001 and 2024 (given unlike Arthur's PARRAMATTA - Tigers actually won a Premiership in that period)!

If, as it seems, he's not perceived by the coaches as a player to persist with, I hope he finds a club sooner than later with a coach looking to push his development.

I think someone like Fitzgibbon or Robinson would probably draw out the best if they put some effort in. He needs that extra 5% in everything that good players put in.

Nope - He was here for half a season under Sheens in 03,
and then came back in 05 - But didn't really get a look in past off season

Sometimes when a young players changes clubs it doesent matter who the coach is or was it's just a matter of a fresh start for them and their mindset. Change is what some of them need
