- 1 Home Ground will be our future and although he didn't say it directly you can be sure it will be ANZ
- **Robbie's contract will be honoured as they have said all along and he will be eligible for selection in FG as any player would but no contract guarantees selection in any grade.**
- Whole organisation supports JT and working to ensure all nessecary rescources are in place
- Taupau - No word from his management that he wants out for 2016
- Salary cap is now in a good position for 2016
- Wests Tigers are currently one of the top 6 or 7 clubs financially in the game. What I took from this by the way he said it is that if you look at just how the club does on a profit and loss point of view as opposed to money in from outside sources over and above.
- We are aiming and heading to not need money from our shareholders for running the club on a yearly basis but that then money can be used for longer term investment
My radio cut in and out a bit but thats what i picked up so all good news.
Also I must say he was very impressive and sounded like we have made a very astute selection as CEO
Chuck in our highest paid player into reserve grade. That'll make the club look even more embarrasing in this whole soap opera. All other points are good to hear, but you'd expect to hear that really. Although surprised about the cap situation, sounds like we were fed either alot of BS or we actually have finally stopped paying players we shouldn't and are more financially stable.
Mayby I didn't make it sound so but he defiantly made it sound like Robbie will play FG if he stays just that it is obviously a decision made by the coach each week
@bp tiger said:SO who is lying, M/S GO, came out during the year and stated we were in trouble with the cap for next year, yet PASCOE comes out on the big sports breakfast and declares we are in a great position for 2016, u would think they would get there story together, or does one hand not know what the other says.

We have released a few players since then.

It has to be ANZ, we're locked in for 10 years there for four games. Should try to screw them for more money to hold all 12 games.
@GNR4LIFE said:No matter what they do to the stadium, Campbelltown will never get big crowds.
For whatever their reasons the locals can't fill it - and even if they could build a super train from the city to get there in 10 minutes the perception would still be that it's too far to go for everyone else.
Plus, no matter what anyone thinks there is still a stigma about the place itself (deserved or not).

It all sounds good to me. I reckon the salary cap is fine. I reckon that is another line that we have been fed this year.

Our salary cap was in a bad way. The club has worked very hard to fix it.

Mate, you have a short memory. When the Tigers were flying high on the mid 2000's we has no trouble filling Campbelltown Stadium. The problem is in the last 10 years the team has not been a success. Do you think a team constantly hovering around the bottom of the table will fill any stadium? There is a massive amount of land release going in around the Campbelltown - Camden areas at the moment. Why you would take the team away from this massive growth area and move it into an area so close to the Bulldogs heartland just boggles my mind.
Campbelltown stadium is next to the station and has stacks of free parking. Campbelltown Council is planning to upgrade the stadium to a fully undercover 25,000 seat stadium with an entertainment precinct next door.
Combine all of this with a winning team and you would fill the stadium no problems.

Problem is we aren't a winning team, and so will get small crowds and lose money hand over fist.
Which is why he club is looking to move into one of the super stadiums that will be built and secure a consistent income stream in the process.
There is a reason clubs are going down this path, and it's about time we did so too.
