JV Celebration...

Gallagher,Wests Tigers are an awesome club that I support wholeheartedly..ONE CLUB,however the two foundation clubs came together to make our great club, known as the Joint Venture otherwise NO WT.

I didn't call it the JV,but it will go down in history as that….....

Yep, in history, not in 2015\. Lets celebrate our ONE club for a change.

@gallagher,completely agree with your passion,I feel the same, but from day dot we were always known as WT the JV and we have to try and live with that, actually in 2005 we were the famous JV that won the premiership as stated in one of the news papers,we are and in my eyes always will be Wests Tigers now and forever…......

Thats cool TT, not doubting your allegiance, apologises if it came across that way. I just feel we need to focus on wests tigers and almost ignore balmain/wests for the time being. There's still, to this day, way too much of that inter-club rivalry crap going on. When, as supporters, we're comfortable in our own skin that we're west tigers, that will be the time to bring our past into the equation. The club not having balmain or wests jerseys as our heritage jersey next year is a huge step for us I think.
Thats what I think anyway. maybe I'm not sentimental enough.

@Gallagher,you have to remember the two foundation clubs had very staunch supporters,me included,I was a deadset Balmain boy from a very young age as are many on the forum Western Suburbs, however a great percentage of us have reconciled with ourselves and have one club we support, the great Wests Tigers, sure at times we have had many differences of opinion and probably will have in the future,it is what it is but when it comes to the crunch we all support WT.In time and all the younger ones will only know the Wests Tigers…and that is a good thing...cheers mate..

Great idea TT, should keep everyone happy!

I don't think it's a Balmain vs Wests debate… It's just a simple and equal way to celebrate the history of our great club and it's traditional grounds.

I'm a bit younger than a few of you on here... I've never supported any team other than the WESTS TIGERS so I struggle to understand the whole Balmain vs Wests debate. The future supporters of this club will not have loyalty to either side of the joint venture... so it doesn't really matter whether or not the old heads of this club embrace the WESTS TIGERS and accept their old clubs are gone... one day there won't be enough people who care about this debate to have it.

Mate I want multiple double headers on Saturday evenings / Nights and Sunday afternoons

Two games Friday Nights

Three games Saturday 4.00pm ,6.00pm and 8.00 pm

Two Sundays 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm (4.00 pm LIVE Ch 9 )

One Monday Night 7.00pm

Double headers on Saturday nights at ANZ with a Wests Tigers vs out of sydney team and a Souths/dogs vs out of Sydney team may be a way to help our poor attendances for out of sydney teams.Or by making a Wests tigers vs Souths and Parra vs Bulldogs double header would sell out Id reckon.
