Winston, what evidence has ever been produced of the vaping that has triggeted you so? Like, any evidence at all?

Mate, until HBG go this shit is always going to happen. Richo stood up to the media and HBG, trying to do it for the better of the club and they canned him.
Mate, spare me the lame-ass “triggered” shit. Having an opinion and calling out a social media post you think is stupid doesn’t mean you’re “triggered”. It’s such a lazy cop-out when you don’t want to address the actual point.

And now you’re shifting the argument to whether there’s definitive evidence the vaping happened. That wasn’t my point. Whether it happened or not, the controversy certainly happened. It embarrassed the club, raised yet another discussion about the standards it may tolerate, went through the usual media cycle, and now one of our own players decides to publicly take the piss out of it for a few cheap laughs with the bros.

If you genuinely believe there’s no evidence the vaping even happened, then publicly mocking a teammate, whether the post was aimed at May with the man bag or Jerry leaving, makes the post look even more stupid, not less.

And blaming HBG for every shit thing that happens at the Tigers is getting ridiculous. HBG can be a basket case, Richo can have been treated like shit, AND the playing group can still be expected to behave like professionals.

Accountability doesn’t suddenly stop when it reaches the playing group.

But maybe THIS is what should be “triggering” Tigers supporters:

2021 — 13th
2022 — 16th 🥄
2023 — 17th 🥄
2024 — 17th 🥄
2025 — 13th
2026 — 15th

No finals. Three wooden spoons.

And right now I see buck-all evidence that the standards have improved enough to expect anything dramatically different in 2027. 14th-18th if lucky.

So forgive me if I’m not pissing myself laughing at players making memes about just one of the clubs long lists of embarrassments.

Maybe fewer laughs for the bros and a few more professional standards would be a good place to start.

Terrell is prioritizing the tigers over the world cup, that's setting a good standard, no?

Absolutely. Prioritising the Tigers over a World Cup commitment IS setting a good standard, and I’ll give him full credit for that.

But that’s kind of my whole point - standards matter. I’ll praise a player when he demonstrates good ones and call it out when I think he demonstrates poor ones.

It doesn’t have to be one extreme or the other. Doing something positive for the club doesn’t suddenly put every other decision beyond criticism.

For a club that’s spent years at the bottom of the ladder, I’m not interested in blindly defending or attacking players. I’m interested in the standards they set.

Set good standards, I’ll praise you. Set poor standards like posting memes on Insta for childish giggles, I’ll call it out.

It really is that simple.

I don't really agree with you. I do think writing an 8 paragraph rant to a picture that has now been deleted and has no context is unusual.

Professionalism is a funny one. KPP hasn't made a blemish all season, has been 99% professional and now he's unprofessional, apparently.

That’s fine, we don’t have to agree. But you’re doing exactly what I said above: turning criticism of ONE action into a judgement of the bloke’s entire character.

I never said KPP has been unprofessional all season. If he’s been 99% professional, great. I’m criticising the 1% I thought wasn’t. Being professional 99% of the time doesn’t make the other 1% immune from criticism.

And the fact the post has now been deleted doesn’t suddenly mean it had “no context”. If anything, deleting it suggests someone decided it was better off not being there. Funny that, almost like the professionalism I’ve been banging on about might have crossed someone’s mind after all.

As for the “8 paragraph rant” stuff, attack the length of my post all you like. It doesn’t actually address the argument. Maybe I should rewrite it as simple as 'See Spot Run' so it’s easier for some people to follow.

Good standard? I’ll praise it. Poor standard? I’ll criticise it.

You don’t have to agree with where I draw that line, but at least argue the point rather than counting paragraphs.

2026 - 15th place.
