Kelepi Tanginoa

That last sentence a bit harsh Boonboon…

I think we need a centre more, though I can see why they are looking for a lock/second rower as well. I have a feeling that we are between a rock and a hard place with Lawrence and his contract, and playing Akauola on the wing has me thinking he is also on the cards as a centre if he can get it together.

With our torrid financial state, and more quality second rowers on the market, we could be looking to tighten up the middle of the park allowing us to tweak defensive formation to cover weakness on the fringes.

If this rumour is true, it may be a case of looking for a final piece to a puzzle we are closest to having complete, the pack, rather than hedging our bets on the scraps on offer who may not be up to the task out wide. We cannot afford to knee jerk for a sub standard centre on a contract length that could again hurt us.

Fair call I was probably a bit harsh in my last sentence- long week this week but I still am sure we need backrowers more at this moment purley because we have centres even if a little out of form while we just don't have enough backrowers for next year- no team can survive on 4 backrowers going into a new season

As for you happy - I got nothing against you I don't even know you

We needs centres before we need backrowers at this very moment

I think centres or wing are where we need players most however a big backrower who can dent the line would be a really good option.

Yeah agree Steve , but if we don't have quality centres opposition defences will sit on that second rower because they don't need to worry about the poor centres creating anything

Look at 2010-11 we had so many options out wide because we had two centres playing well who would create chances for our wingers , and the opposition would be sitting on them and we would then hit a hard running second rower running a different line / angle and create havoc

THE Cowboys have confirmed the signing of Eels back-rower Kelepi Tanginoa on a two-year deal from 2015.

The 20-year-old made his first grade debut in 2013 and has played made 13 matches to date.

“We believe Kelepi is one of the best young back-row talents in the NRL and expect he will thrive with the Cowboys,” North Queensland’s general manager football Peter Parr said.

“He’ll be determined to become a regular first grader in 2015 and he’ll get the opportunity to do that with us.

“We’re confident he will be a long-term success and our members and fans will thoroughly enjoy watching him play his footy.”

Look at the back row talent at the Cowboys

Jason "James "Tamaulolo
Cooper
Glenn Hall
Sam Hoare
Ethan Lowe
Scott Bolton
J Reithmuller
R Thorby
Ben Spina
and now Tanginoa

Some current and up and coming talent , maybe they might be letting someone go

Ethan Lowe possibly for the betting scandal and Glenn Hall is definitely unsigned
