Like my mate said, he is a good first grader for about the first 2 months of the season when there is some touch footy played.

Not up to it. Never really has been. Bennett peed in Kevs pocket once ( at the Knights)and said he was letting him go to play 1st grade, but really if Bennett believed he was a genuine first grader, he would never have released him

Yeah it's not just Naiqama, they all make really serious defensive mistakes. And what's worse is when one of them makes a mistake, the others seem to compound the error.

They said it in commentary, if Naiqama makes a decision to run in, Nofo has to go in with him. Mark Gasnier used to do this to his winger all the time. They are nervous defending outside Moses and it affects their decision making.

Nofo is just a terrible reader of the play, he would probably make the wrong defensive decision 90% of the time. I'd hate to have him in my touch footy team, he'd be one of those blokes who you run at all match and watch his head explode.

Moses - well mostly the kid tries hard and he's skinny, there's only so much he can do about that whilst we keep putting him out there. But he's liable for a bad read also, e.g. today when he goes charging in on Kasiano who was already marked by two of our forwards, leaves Kev hanging. I mean, if Kasiano is on the rampage, literally the LAST guy I want to see coming across in cover is Moses.

Horrid, horrid defence and it blew our match away, they just probed left all match. Even a lame Josh Morris looked like quicksilver.

I think some of the comments about Naiqama are a bit harsh. There's no question that he makes defensive errors, mainly from rushing up out of the line but he is not the only back who does this. The obvious culprits are Brooks, Nofo and to a lesser extent, Moses. The men who should be castigated are Kidwell and Taylor, because the repeated lapses are a result of bad defensive coaching. Think back everyone, it wasn't long ago that people on here were saying that Kev was a shining light. He's been great, in attack, including doing a better job than the forwards at taking the ball up, making regular line breaks and, overall putting his body on the line. There is no questioning his 100% effort.

I am of the opposite opinion.

How would you be being Nofo's centre.

Could not read a book, let alone the play. His centre would be on a knife edge every time the play comes that side. So he comes in and tries to stop the ball going wide because he knows Nofo is coming in and they are going to be faced with 2 on 1 or 3 on 2 and it is going to be a disaster. Kev was playing like a champion every time Nofo is out.

The situation is the same as Rowdy had with Koro and Rowdy got the blame.
Now it is Kev that is copping it.

Nofo needs to go for good - flog him off to someone else and play Hunt on the wing when he returns.

Call up Chee Kam and/or JAC. These two have a great combo in attack and defence at state cup level, so why not give them a chance to show what they can do together on the big stage. Plenty of strike between them.

Although if Hunt is out Rankin will go to fullback, meaning JAC could go to the other wing. Saving Nofo.

I agree, Chee Kam is a must and I'd also like to see JAC play another game. And while we're at it, I think Joel Edwards should be given a second chance to show if he can deliver. Perfect opportunity after that pathetic showing by our forwards this week.
