Kevin Naiqama?

So is there actually any proof of confirmation?

Nope. As usual the club stays silent and allows players to announce these things themselves, which gets the forum talking, believing its official.

Well panthers fans confirmed that he told the players before they were playing nz in the last round his coming to the tigers. Im sure his signed and we will confirm the signing soon.

Best new signing, but not exactly much quality nor quantity to compare him against.

With Naiqama and Takairangi coming and Simona and Seve already here our centre depth looks decidedly better for next year.I think these will provide two very smart and shrewd signings.I hope this facilitates Chris Lawrences move(fulltime) to the second row or lock.I think with chris's lack of speed and lateral movement due to injuries chris's head on defence and his slower(but gritty to be fair) runnuing will help him to succeed in the backrow or lock.Hes a fitness fanatic so he should have a good workrate.

Thats even more credible than Wests themselves announcing it.

Maybe they dont want to make the announcment this week and take all the media attention off the grand final.

I have to say that the recruitment and retention over the past year has been pretty good. If Lawrence moves to the second row then the pieces are really coming together.

Although Mayer is disliked on this forum he deserves credit for the recruitment and retention of players !

I can see them holding off maybe to announce Takarangi and Naiqama in the same release, maybe another player too.

He had a hand in three tries yesterday. Not bad for someone as hopeless as some of you say.

And still he remains yet unsigned and playing NSW Cup for some unknown reason Col ??

The one we should be going after is Waqa Blake, he is a big raw boned centre and he looks the goods, not much hope of getting a centre spot with the panthers with the two in front of him.

The only reason they let Kevvie go was because he was a first grader and deserved a better chance to play first grade than he would get at the knights….
Can't be all bad!!

Used car salemen

Nah mate she's good , runs like a dream , low mileage , bargain buy ,best buy on the lot ,everyone wants to buy her

If it looks like a lemon ,smells like a lemon and is priced as a lemon it might be a lemon

His most dangerous spot is fullback I think, so at the very least he is good back up for Tedesco.

If he shows enough to fight his way into a starting spot outwide then that's great, otherwise it will be handy having him in State Cup as insurance.

Rate him a lot higher than Wes

Naiqama will be a good pick up. Adds speed, attacking skills and solid defence.I see a centre combination of Naiqama and Simona next year. Naiqama can play all 3 outside positions with ease so to me a really good depth signing.

Totally agree . I love his energy.

Enough of these "depth signings "

It also means fringe first grader and 2nd tier contract player

Hope Taylor and Moss have some aces hidden up their sleeves

I think we saw this year the problem with not having enough depth. Look at the Panthers reserve grade side this weekend - that's a strong team. We can't have a situation again where forwards are playing on the wing and halves in the centres.

Arguably we had more success with fringe players (Austin, Lodge, Taupau, Thompson) than with 'established players' (Anasta, Blair or earlier O'Hara, Sattler, Graham, etc.).
Hopefully, Naiqama and Takairangi will fill some holes before Milone, Save, Liolevave, Funaki
are ready.

Are we so desperate for a new signing that we will see any player as being some sort of saviour?

Naiqama is no better than anyone in our top 25 for next year, or any of our depth players.

Why waste the money?
