Kevin Naiqama?

"Hes a reserve grader!" etc.

Astute observation made while watching him play in a Reserve Grade grand final…

Not trying to sound like a doubting Thomas , but the bloke he was up against today is usually a second rower and he is a bits parts player for the Pride and usually at best is a bench player

If you can't look good in a GF against a bits part semi professional second rower cum centre you are going to struggle in the NRL

Simple as that

Hopefully Taylor and/or his assistants can help him and the rest of the team build their defence…

I must have been watching a different game…he looked really good to me.

Light on his feet, very fast and could pass too.

He was being marked by second rower cum centre , who sometimes is a bench player in the Qld Cup

If he hadn't looked half decent in attack you'd be concerned

I haven't watched Wes for a while , hasn't he gone backwards big time

Did not get many chances as the dummy of a dummy half kept moving the ball to his right when KN was playing on his left.

Penrith played like they had been enjoying mad monday up until kickoff.

Nevertheless, we will have some depth in the centres next year with Naiquama, Lawrence, Hitchcox, Takairangi, Simona and Fine. I reckon that lot will all be better for having to compete for the NRL spots.

The guy he was up against was (according to the commentary) the club's best and fairest/players player or one of those awards. But Happy would watch more QLD Cup than any of us i'm sur so may have a better idea.

He showed he had pace, could beat his man and set up his outside winger. His one on one defence was quite good, except for that one early miss. That puts him ahead of Lawrence, Simona, Lulia, Simona and Fine for a spot in the centres.

There really isn't much competition. Really, he looks like a very similar player to Simona, only much better at setting up his outside man.

Taylor's first day today i believe. Announcements could follow soon.

I thought kn more of a winger/fullback.

Don't expect much info from taylor. his responses have been pretty generic thus far.

when r they back at training?

They are back first week in November, I believe.

We finished 2014 rolling out Akauloa and Paterson on the wings, Hitchcox at FB, and people are bemoaning that Naiqama is a reggie. That will do me.
