KEVIN WALTERS AS WT COACH?

I think its clear this club needs an established coach with the stature that commands respect from all facets within the game.

We really need a Tim Sheens MkII to come in to do what he did in 2003.

Exactly but unfortunately there are assistant coaches who are paid more than our head coach(what our head coach from last year was on)we are only going to get someone looking for an opportunity.

Yes a Coach with zero games as a Head Coach at NRL level is just what we need…

Well at the moment everyone is bleeding because of our losses, emotions run high and sensibility goes out the window..What must be remembered is,this club was let operate as a rabble for far to long, backend contracts enormous overs for little return, waste, waste and yet more waste..recruitment of quality players was at an all time low…looking after the boys club took preference over common sense buys, and the list goes on...
I have been critical of JTs coaching at times, however I now see the path he is going on,not only to get this young imature team to stick to a structure wether it be defense or attack,he also must clean the cupboard of deadwood and hopefully fill the bank with some money so as to buy what he needs to make this core team a solid NRL competitive unit...

This will not be an easy ask...so much garbage to clear before the path is clear of hurdles..and yet we have asked for his head on a platter after our dismal season...What did many say after Pots was blindsided and had little to work with, injuries aside? He wasn't given a chance to do something with this team and talent...Now is the time to show all the Rugby League community that, yes we do suffer as ardent supporters, but we also give a new reform the chance to work under extremely difficult circumstances...if JT is given the chance to promote us in a far better light than what most see us as,then nobody can say he wasn't given everything he needed to succeed, remember Potter, hands tied,no money a huge injury toll, and yet JT has all in his power to do what's needed to reach his goal....
After his tenure of 3 years and we are still going nowhere, then let's look for suitable replacements....even if we put a new coach in right now,do you guys HONESTLY think we would be going any better...let's be real and let this plan unfold down the path of success, then let's have another discussion regarding suitable coaching staff if it hasn't come to fruition....cheers members have a great day....

Some Sensible comments above, Punting JT is not the answer.

Yet another new coach is not the answer here.

Even Parra are deciding to stick with their current coach. They seem to be learning that stability is important.

There are so many factors that impact the success on the park of a football team,

JT is the right type of coach for us, he is changing years of poor culture and needs to be respected through our support,

I will keep the faith

After asking a couple of times now , no one can tell me of a single concrete fact that shows that he's changing anything in a positive way, it's always something like his propaganda. (we're going in thr right direction) for example.
Means Nothing !!!
We are doing the same as we always do,
Playing crap in most games playing good in a couple and reasonable in a few
More importantly our worst problem is that we are just as SOFT as always
In most games we still let in tries that so soft that it's hard to believe that we are a First Grade Team
Our players still drop their heads when we get behind .
Nothing has changed, and won't , while we have a weak Coach, whose only reaction is to to go into denial and try and deflect the blame to anywhere else but himself,
I'd be happy to join the JT fan club if only this spin doctor would drop the" it's not really that bad" act and face the fact that it bloody well is.
And doesn't look like getting better
I feel better now.

After asking a couple of times now , no one can tell me of a single concrete fact that shows that he's changing anything in a positive way,
That's because there is no single positive he is pure crap.

How many spoons will we pick up in 3 yrs? Will we even be around? it's a pipe dream for JT to think he has 3 years to get a result. He has 12 months at best to show improvement. If we are saving cap space to get a decent coach I would be happy enough. If we get results I'd be happy enough with JT, if we do nothing I'd be devistated

But he is funny and has a sense of humour and has coached under Bellamy and Bennett

Doesn't that count for something Geo ??

As much as it would be nice to have someone I grew up with as the WT's NRL coach , he isn't the man for the job
