Poor sportsmanship.š¤ I read we had a members 'guard of honour' as the players ran out...one hung around a little longer and gave Galvout a gobful just before kickoff.

Itās so WT. Also rushed in to sign Latu on $500k, while Doueihi gets lowballed? Seems like we are more focussed on the politics with IM than we should be. Wouldnāt be surprised if the club has Doueihiās contract signed and are sitting on it, wondering if theyāve been trapped into depositing more cash into IMās account? LOLAnyone have an idea if Chammas or Read are more believable? On 360 Read said Douehi's offer had been increased. On 100% Chammas said no increase in the money offer has been given. Surely we have to up the offer way above $350k. Blocker said tonight he thinks he is our best player. Pretty hard to disagree considering he's been a main part of 3 of our best moments this year. Great games and the winning penalty and field goal in our Leichardt wins and the man of the match performance yesterday in our sweetest victory in a long while. Come on Richo and Benji. This local junior actually wants to stay and is way better than the other half that left who was getting offered $1 million a year for 5 years!
Gee up?Poor sportsmanship.
My issue with AD is only the select few of us have been preaching AD to 13 for the last couple of years , usually laughed at and mocked for the idea .Gee up?
Sarcasm?
Like others gotta wonder how we cant offer Douehi a bit more cash when teams stacked with origin players seem to manage
My issue with AD is only the select few of us have been preaching AD to 13 for the last couple of years , usually laughed at and mocked for the idea .
The reason I say that , is not to self congratulate , but rather point tot he fact until Benji said screw it and chucked the jersey at him , it was considered stupidity to move him there. And whilst Iām glad to be proven right , it begs the question what if Iām wrong and everyone elseās first instinct are right . So we pay AD 500k for 2 years , and better options come along , and we have another Sullivan issue where we are paying half a mil for a dude to lead the KOE cup team around .
The option that most has me excited ⦠Javon Andrewās the current 6 for the u19s Queensland team. He might stick at 6 , but is most predicted to move to lock / edge forward.
With him , Broaderlow , Saukuru , and Godinet (who has some creatine and maybe a cycle of peptides still required to come near nrl) , as well as Seyfarth , Sukkarand even Kit , options are aplenty with very little minutes available . Chuck in the inevitable off season middle that will fall from a tree, itās very much something we need to be careful with not buying into the hype on . Itās no coincidence AD hires Moses and all of a sudden his profile is everywhere , and every second story in between the Galvin ones is about the tigers and AD. Heās a shit bloke old Isaac, but heās extremely adept at tugging on those FOMO strings . Luke a real estate agent who makes you pay an extra 150k , when youāre bidding against yourself but donāt realise .
Even the dragons who are said to be desperate for him , have offered a lock/utility role. That info is lost in the āTigers lose another junior ā narrative being spun , and bought into clearly by many on here .
For me Iāve been firm in the belief I think AD can wear a Blues jersey if he puts in at 13 . Thatās how good I think he can be . But that Andrewās kid is everything AD is , 7 years younger than, and apparently not against the move to the middle .
My point is I wouldnāt go a single cent more than 500k and not a single minute longer than 2 years. With the amount of guns we have coming through.
Godinet for those who donāt know just made Aus Schoolboys .
Sullivan was paid on potential..at least weve seen what AD is capable ofSo we pay AD 500k for 2 years , and better options come along , and we have another Sullivan issue where we are paying half a mil for a dude to lead the KOE cup team around .
You get it!
Which is why he should be paid on what he is worth to the club. I just posted my reasoning in the AD thread. But in short: It is what he doesn't do off the ball that is his limiting factor. I'm not saying he is a bad player at all. He has done some great things but the offer he has been given reflects how he will fit into the team going forward.Sullivan was paid on potential..at least weve seen what AD is capable of
..and we have no better options on the horizon that I can see
For what? Will the stupid NRL investigate the hypocritical bulldogs fans???
If we offer him $350 x 2...unless his loyalty to WTs is ridiculous, the market will result in him leaving because others are offering moreWhich is why he should be paid on what he is worth to the club. Benji is trying to deliver an effort focussed team. AD's effort fluctuated depending on if he is on or off the ball. AD has put a case forward, and has a place in the team no doubt. However, his lack of effort off the ball has clearly been noticed by those that matter.
He is not lost, if Benji is true to his word and has had the hard conversation, AD knows why he has been offered the $ and what he needs to do to get more.
I doubt the figure is $350K; Richo isn't divulging this to the media - they are making up figures to trigger clicks. The reality will be that Richo has offered what he is worth to the club based on their assessment of how he fits into the future team - not the one trotting out in 2025. Sure he has been good, but there are defintiely flaws in his makeup that aren't aligned with what we're building. If he stays he wil be paid on the alignment he has shown with the future. If he wants to earn more he has to align himself with the club's goals. My read of it, and it could well be off, is that they are looking for effort players that have energy on and off the ball. AD has it on the ball but can be a passenger at other times. If we offer him $350 x 2...unless his loyalty to WTs is ridiculous, the market will result in him leaving because others are offering more
Despite his flaws ,hes been our best player for the past month...and despite his flaws,he deserves better
AD is not consistentSullivan was paid on potential..at least weve seen what AD is capable of

Did Gus say anything on 100% footy about this? He didn't call the world soft or that there is too much PC in the NRL?
Now there's someone who deserves a free membership.š¤ I read we had a members 'guard of honour' as the players ran out...one hung around a little longer and gave Galvout a gobful just before kickoff.

I see the Penrith trainer was banned for 5 matches and the club fined 50k for that stunt he pulled against the Titans on the weekend. Mr high and mighty Gould is blaming social media for influencing the NRLās decisionā¦really Gus šNo sat there with a high and mighty look on his face.
And Ezra, gets 8 games or something which was much more serious....I see the Penrith trainer was banned for 5 matches and the club fined 50k for that stunt he pulled against the Titans on the weekend. Mr high and mighty Gould is blaming social media for influencing the NRLās decisionā¦really Gus š
Errr. Not really. Being a player, 8 games is a third of the season. If he's on 800k, thats around a 270k fine if you think about it and without their starting half. And Ezra, gets 8 games or something which was much more serious....
