Khod Hand Investigation

What most seem to be ignoring with regard Hand Gesture-Gate is the racial element. Had Adam Doueihi and Alex Twal been the players in question I don’t see much drama. Yet we had players of non Arabic heritage using an Arabic hand gesture to say “up yours” to a group of fans with Arabic heritage. This adds a racially mocking dimension to the episode. Imagine a trio of white dudes mimicking spear throwing at an aboriginal section of the crowd etc ...

As for comments about Bulldog fans deserving it. Trouble there is you can’t lump them all in together. Some Canterbury fans carry on like pork chops but others are fine.

Anyway, no one died. Hopefully our boys have learnt a lesson with regards cultural sensitivities and we all move on 👍
Nonsense....I grew up in Sydney and we all taught each other these little things from each other's cultures. Khod is one of the things i laugh hardest at when I see an anglo or Asian do it properly. The "kh" is hard to say lol
Samuela Fainu apologised during the week and gave more context and it was something 99% of dogs fan would accept.
By the way we have had many more lebanese players and a lot of diverse fans. The dogs fans do not represent Arabs mate, the are fans of a footy team that's it. They can all khod if they aren't tigers, if this footage made it to Lebanon 75% of people under 30 would become tigers fans in Beirut lol

Here we go with twisting everything into racism. They want to bring their culture to mock us, but we can't mock them in the language they understand...sorry mate...so far off it's not funny. You must work in HR? Or the government...
Your the only one talking about racism.

Where did ‘they’ mock our culture? They are full blooded rugby league fans for heavens sake - I would have thought that’s fully embracing our way.

Re’ my occupation, you’re so far off it’s not funny

You've not read my post correctly judging by your response. Including my sarcastic dig at your occupation.

No idea as usual.

That's right he's here to help us. 🤣

Thought Samuela's explanation during the week about growing up with Arab mates was a perfect response and should have silenced the mad Arabs, you know the ones that are upset and complaining and all the do-gooder non Arab's can STFU.

In addition to this, I'm sure our sponsors don't want to be associated with actions like these, whether they are trivial or not.

Cheers for that, I take that on board.

And of course there are racially diverse fans supporting all the different clubs. Canterbury however have long been associated with the Lebanese community and the optics of three non Arabic players doing what they did wasn’t great.

Given the identity based world we now live in, I get why the NRL had to issue the warning they did.

Forget just Benny, every person in the media has ulterior selfish motives.

They all have other affiliations, agendas etc to help out their own associates, or at least look like they're helping.

There are absolutely no ethics in media or journalism and they never will be enforced.
