Our defence all night was the best It’s ever been. A lot of luck required in their tries. They didn’t break our line once all night. To their credit, they were smart enough to change their point of attack and it paid off.
Our attack was poor. Sure we broke their line a few times, but didn’t have the class to finish these raids off. A team like ours must score when the line is broken and fullback drawn. Happily we did exploit our 10 minute advantage but all in all, that was our 9th loss of the year from 12 games.
It’s not good enough. Only winning matters.

Tell me a good team would ever conceded two tries off grubbers hitting the post? Calling it luck totally ignores the fact Fogarty deliberately chose that tactic against that team. Why? What statistic is there for that other than knowing the opposition is vulnerable on effort plays and concentration in key moments?

Whether he was aiming for the posts or not is irrelevant. The luck component is in the ricochet into his arms. Most kickers chase their own grubbers. Very rarely does a rebound bounce back into their arms, much less twice in one game.

The tactic mightn't have been luck. The outcome was nothing but luck.

They got their share of luck for the year last night.

Food for thought though, can anybody name a single game in the last few years where we have won unfairly or controversially?

Unfortunately in the last few years it's hard to recall many wins at all, let alone controversial ones.

I thought there was some chance that the ref could have ruled a shoulder charge against Bula in that try-saver in the Dragons win.

Sorry tuckers daughter for not having a crap opinion matching yours! How about u look at the facts again, I’ll say it slow so u can understand. We are the reining wooden spooners, tipped by many to get it again this year. We compiled almost a complete new pack and coaching team. This take time champ to get the run of things to understand each other’s game e.g. brooks getting used to api and vice versa. I reckon we are starting to see them gelling together. I am happy with the progression and the style we are playing, do we need to be better in the opposition’s 20, shit yeah. Hoping it will come.
It’s supporters like you that bring the club down, with unrealistic expectations on where we should be after winning the spoon last season! I am a real supporter that goes to games, supports my team win, lose or draw. Not aimlessly undermines the team, coaches and individual players like some…

This squad has played together for 3 and a half months now, plus trials, plus largely trained together since January…and they can’t score unless the opposition is a man short after trouncing one of the pre season favourites only two weeks ago. Our combos looked fine then.
I’d love to know what they did the past 2 weeks. Api and Stef were busy…the rest seem to have spent their time sitting around the COE sniffing each other’s farts.
