Yeah, I couldn't believe before the game the commentators on N.Qld ABC radio (streamed online) were praising our 'great' kicking game. nearly fell of my chair, but listened in disbelief as it must have been our best kicking game all year.

Lui and Marshall both have massive boots and too often back their passing game. Our kicking game hasn't really been poor (aside from Farah kicking it out on the full once a game, every game), it's just that we never actually take the kick when we have the chance. Tonight, they kicked at the right times. Hopefully a habit that they will have noticed produces great things and they will continue to do.

Benji best kick is when he kicks back across the body when going for distance He should use it more often Finds the earth more often than not .

Atleast tonight we pinned them down in there 10-20m after a kick
Fantastic kicking game tonight from Benji, Lui and Farah. I gave the boys a spray last week on the forum for not kicking enough and tonight they were brilliant. Well done! The error rate reduced dramatically, completion rate was so much better and we did plenty of great kicks. Some kicks led to tries, others gave us repeat sets and others gave us excellent field position.
The boys really turned up to play tonight which has been missing recently as most people have clearly noticed. The players seemed more emotional, there was some back slaps and passion. Even if they lost I would have been proud of them for simply having a go. The good news is that we won and did it comfortably. We're back!

i was pleased that we forced some dropouts to keep the pressure on and tire the cowboys out

Seems easy….get the kicking game going and everything else just flows, although it helps when the forwards get the job done. The other game where our kicking game was on was against Canberra when we won 47 to something.
The 3 kicking options give us a lot of flexibility, particularly when Lui steps up.

One thing i don't understand about our team is why we almost never bomb. I know we go for the little grubber to try get repeat sets but once in a while it would be good to see the big attacking bomb go up.
