Kicking games

Manly's was so much better tonight and was a factor in them winning IMO. Our long kicks seemed to find their back three on the full and nearly every grubber was too big. It seems Beau Ryan is the only one who can judge a kick. The only aspect of the kicking game that was on song was possibly the bombs.

Our long kicking game has always been our achillies heel and so far it seems to not have improved one iota.

It is amazing how we cant find open paddock yet every oppostion kicker manages to do it against us. We get this right and we will demolish teams.

I said before the season started this remains one of our biggest weaknesses. I thought Farah kicked OK but both he and Marshall are really inconsistent. Moltzen really needs to take some pressure off here.

I agree it's our kicking game & our line breaks conceded that's letting us down Moltzen has to step up to the plate & take some pressure off but get the kicking & the ruck right & we will be hard to stop only early days

Another area where Tedesco will be missed. Has a good boot on him and has kicked a few 40/20s.
Kicked the goals in the NYC last year when Miller was out as well.

We haven't had a decent kicking game since Prince left. Lui had one really good kicking game last year, but I can't remember too many others. Its hard to fathom that with Benji and Robbie in the team, that they would struggle so often. Its got me stumped to why!

i don't care that much about long kicks.

i do care about looking after your forwards and controlling the game with in goal kicks.

tim sheens, enough with this kicking on the 2nd and 3rd tackle.just stop it.drum it into the players every day.

we throw away momentum game after game with this dumb tactic.
kills me every time when they do it.

You should. It makes a massive difference to the flow of the game. It really takes away the positives of a good set of forward runs if you kick it straight on the chest of the opposition FB and he returns it to where you kicked it. Compare that to Manly's kicks where many of them were picked up on the goal line. We're talking the difference between starting a set on the 10m line or on the 40m line…

We are at our best with ball in hand yes at times a kick is required. But when your kicking game is not one of your strenghts why go there ,they are obviously being told to do it so if you want to persist with this inject someone that has a good kicking game …Mr Miller comes to mind.

When the Tigers play their best football it is on the back of a great kicking game

Until they find a great all round kicking game we will struggle to match it with Melbourne ,Manly and the likes
