@jirskyr said:Well if TigerTorch is right and we had a big contract to offer Klemmer, hopefully that money can still be spent elsewhere.
I am not a fan of overpaying for props, I think you get great mileage out of 1 elite prop plus a bunch of cheaper hard heads.
Now a rep-level centre - that has my interest.

How many of the rep centres will actually be centres ??

We don't need any backs
Simona/Carr
Naiqama/Nofa
Is a pretty striking backline

It really isn't - half of them wouldn't get a run at most other NRL clubs.
That said, I'd rather the money was spent on a backrower or two than a prop.
@Balmain Boy said:Yeah its really not an outstanding backline. On its day yes but otherwise we have, by a long long way, the smallest backline in the league. Many of whom are suspect in defence, under the high ball and are prone to making poor decisions (or no decision).
Same goes for the back row, injury prone, mistake riddled, poor decision making players.
You can only carry so many of those players in a team, as of course not everyone can be an elite player.

@Tigertigertiger said:Oh well at least we saved 700k a year on a forward
@happy tiger said:@innsaneink said:Signed with dogs for three more
As did Moses Mbye
So much for Woods being Klemmer's bestie /bffl
Means sweet nothing in the real world

Is a pretty striking backline, what we need to do is completely scratch our 8-17 with the exception of a few players and then we will see results.
Until our forward pack is competing forget the backs, even if we had Mansour on one wing and Izzy on the other, we would still lose.
We have just about the worst forward pack in the game, until tough calls are made and the likes of Halatau and Buchanan are gone wsaid will continue to be dominated.

The unfilled numbers need to come from outside of the club, at the moment i have seen nothing from Aloai to suggest he is up to it, same with the rest of the players i have left out. Peats and Segeyaro would easily slot into our hooking position but unfortunatley the club is commited to developing juniors and signing 30 year old nuffies.

Our backline is bog average. There are far better options out there then Kev, Nofa and even Simona.
