I come in peace guys, not trying to stir anything. Just wanted to see if you guys had any word on the Brooks situation and Klemmer? Rumours are red hot amongst our fans but facts are hard to come by! Do you think Brooks would go better in a different club environment? Do you think Klemmer is a fair trade?

Here's hoping we can both enjoy some success in 2023.
I'm a Brooks fan and wish him well but in all honesty, Knights would be the last place I'd like to see him go.
What could possibly go wrong. The fact he was being touted as the next Andrew Johns automatically places a hefty load of pressure on him.
You guys look like you need more of a Ben Hunt type. Or any strong leader.

Knights coach O'Brian walking
On hot coals too, not a smart move

I won't outstay my welcome, nothing worse than a pest from another club who sticks like shit to a blanket, but I would love to hear if there is any news about the deal, can't trust footy 'journos' these days. If I hear more at our end I'll keep ya posted. Got a soft spot for the TigeWs, fellow battlers like us.
No info about the players but we've a few "fans" we'd like to send to the Knights.

No mate. No-one here knows anything but been plenty of speculation.
The main inside word guy reckons Brooks has informed management that he intends on signing with Knights for 24 but unsure if this was to try to get a release or to up a contract offer from Tigers. That was a couple of weeks ago (and who knows if accurate) so may have changed since then.
Feelings about him are split. Some hate him. Some think he has never had an environment (forward pack) that can lead to success.

From my understanding the Knights are looking for a 7. If so, Brooks isn’t the game managing type plus he money he is on currently is overs. If you’re after a good defensive 6 that has speed then yes he would go well at the Knights.

I actually think the Tigers is the fresh environment for him. Complete change is coaching style, playing style and brand new facilities. Sounds strange, but staying is the change he needs IMO

I seriously hope you are right but if he is still here in 2023 he has to get it right and very quickly. There is little margin for error

…and with Madden gone the WTs would be disillusioned to think they can make the 8 relying other halve options currently at the club. If Brooks does go to the Knights the WTs will need to find a 1st grade standard half from somewhere else.

Looks like Brooks is on the way, unfortunately for you.

You might also have a small collection of obnoxious unintelligent Brooks fanboys following him to Newcastle so be prepared for the quality of your fan base to fall right into the gutter

His margin for error is subjective. He really only has a small margin for error with the vial hater fans. Others can step back and actually compare his output to other halves and realise they all have similar faults, even Cleary. Bottom line is its impossible to be great or even a very good half when so many circumstances are against you. If you (not you personally mate) take the hate glasses off, step back and watch one round of NRL where all you do is watch each teams number 7, you soon realise this position is so bloody hard to nail. The more consistent ones have a great forward pack, and some have a 2nd organiser at 13. Brooks has had neither, which contributes to what we as Tigers fans believe is him failing. Yes he has had had games where the circumstances have meant he should have gone better, I'm not defending him to an unreasonable extent. I too have been frustrated with him many times but the set up for him over the next few years is the best setup he will access. A stronger pack along with an organising 13, a coach which will relax his mindset all while staying home with his new young family rather then moving away from the extended family that becomes so important when you have young children points to huge upside.

I expect some pointless feedback to this post, but thankfully I have taken the steps to block posts from the worst ones. (First time I've done that in 12 years).

Agree. forward momentum and players in motion (none of which the WTs have had) makes the halves job easy.
All top 4 top teams have this.
Don’t how Moses, Cleary, DCE ect would have gone this year if they swapped out there current forward packs and replaced them with the likes of Musgrove, a broken Steph, Peachey, Seyfarth, Tuilagi and all the young guys coming in and out of the team making there debuts
