Big win great odds on the magpies won a stack.
Our future is very bright some great young players in that team even with the players pulled out due to this nonsense Covid bubble.

Sione Hopoate is an absolute gun. Sign him as soon as possible. Weapon.**

He sure is.

His only mistake is going to the Roosters, buried on the depth chart but hes better than a few wingers running around in 1sts

I thought Tuilagi and Simpkins were real stand outs and ZDC and Taipari both had outstanding games. Few of the outside backs looked good too.

Like everything about Dillon, great ball runner and competitive, young Ogden looks a real prospect, that Mavoni is a big boy and loves contact.

Absolutely love watching this team.
I hope our first grade pack is on borrowed time.

I'd only keep Twal, Stefano, Mikaele (on recent form only), Ofa and LL. I'd have at least 3 of them on the bench.

That leaves 3 spots (assuming 5 starters and 3 benchies). I'd live to see Blore, Tuilagi and LL as the backrow. I'd give LL 60 minutes at lock with a the second hooker to cover lock either side of half time.

If only it were supercoach

Just clarifying my earlier mention of Bears backs that looked to have promise- it was Tony Satini (centre) and also Hopoate (wing). Their 7, Josh Ralph, made a few errors but had a decent skill set and some pace, threw a pass very nicely (upbringing in Rugby I’d say)- definitely one to watch as he develops.

How good was Dias tho

He loved taking those big dirty hitups at full speed

He is gonna be put on his back 1 day doing it 😂😂

as long as we don't rush our prospects because our first grade team is horrendous, then the future is far brighter than it has looked for a long time. Ogden, Tuilagi, Simpkins, Mavoni, Taipari and Kei are all future first grade regulars. Coupled with Stefano, Amone, Mikaele, Laurie, Simpkin, Blore and Doueihi and we have a future top 4 side within the next 2-3 years.

Tony Satini has been good for years through NSW Cup.
He's been at Manly, Raiders, Penrith and now the bears, all nsw Cup.

says something when a player has been playing NSW Cup for a number of years but cannot make the cut for 1st grade....Darren Nicholls is 1 player who was a standout in lower grades but looked average in 1st grade....some players just cannot make the adjustment. Docker-Clay is a perfect example. Not saying a bad player just not an NRL player.

Have to admit I don't watch their games regularly but I was impressed with many of those mentioned - Simpkin Tuilaga etc.
I was also impressed with the way Docker-Clay led them around and the ranga in 20 - Regan Hughes. Neither of them seem to get mentioned much theat I've noticed - any reason?

Oh man I'm gutted I missed the game. Was too tired to stay awake. Saw the Hoffman try then passed out. Will have to find a replay.

This team gets me excited for the future.

Cody Walker, Damien Cook and Ben Hunt were all late boomers in reserve grade I believe. None of them made their NRL debuts until about age 25-26

and Docker-Clay is none of the above. The guy has been at a different club for the past 8 years. He was ordinary in Super League. Players can shine in lower grades but that is their limit. Docker-Clay is a good reserve grade player at best hence why he does not have a top 30 contract and nor should he.

I deleted my post because I was unaware hunt actually debuted for Brisbane at a young age and was in and out of the team

Agree docker clay probably fits more the Billy Walters type utility mould more so than the players I mentioned above

Looking forward to watching him play tonight. I have a feeling it could be a good one for him. He should feel settled now.

I think he will take them on tonight.
