Just clarifying my earlier mention of Bears backs that looked to have promise- it was Tony Satini (centre) and also Hopoate (wing). Their 7, Josh Ralph, made a few errors but had a decent skill set and some pace, threw a pass very nicely (upbringing in Rugby I’d say)- definitely one to watch as he develops.

Tony Satini has been good for years through NSW Cup.
He's been at Manly, Raiders, Penrith and now the bears, all nsw Cup.

says something when a player has been playing NSW Cup for a number of years but cannot make the cut for 1st grade....Darren Nicholls is 1 player who was a standout in lower grades but looked average in 1st grade....some players just cannot make the adjustment. Docker-Clay is a perfect example. Not saying a bad player just not an NRL player.

We call em gods of state Cup around here brother.

that's a saying I haven't heard in some time. good to have ya back. see the former god of state cup Tyson Gamble is making a splash up north?

I read he's got himself an extension too.
He was woeful when he played that 1 game with us.
He looked good at Broncos this year tho.

Looking forward to watching him play tonight. I have a feeling it could be a good one for him. He should feel settled now.

I think he will take them on tonight.

always had the ability, he wasn't playing in QCup at 18 for no reason. good to see him going well, there's all sorts of factors as to why he just didn't cut it here. love his passion and it seems as if he barks at his forwards all day long. all the best to him. fingers crossed Tyler Field or Madden end up our long term 7 and don't make us regret showing him the door.

Dockar-Clay

Oh man I'm gutted I missed the game. Was too tired to stay awake. Saw the Hoffman try then passed out. Will have to find a replay.

This team gets me excited for the future.

Kayo is your friend.

Good win by the boys would of like to see Dillon at fullback he’s gotta lotta ability this kid it’s a shame we didn’t get to see it cause he was out on the wing

as long as we don't rush our prospects because our first grade team is horrendous, then the future is far brighter than it has looked for a long time. Ogden, Tuilagi, Simpkins, Mavoni, Taipari and Kei are all future first grade regulars. Coupled with Stefano, Amone, Mikaele, Laurie, Simpkin, Blore and Doueihi and we have a future top 4 side within the next 2-3 years.

That was a great win tonight with all the enforced changes to the side only 3 from the team chosen on Tuesday night took the field it shows WT'S training methods are paying dividend now if only the FG can follow these young guys lead of run hard, back up, off load the ball and tackle hard

We've got the Rabbits digging burrows
We put the Dragons' flame right out
Now the Bears are hibernating
Since the Magpies dished it out.

It's as if a lot of first grade players are damaged goods - once they've been coached one way, it takes years for a player to gel in another system.

I'd like to think that as more of our own players make their way into our first grade team, the better we will play. This will be down to them already knowing our systems when they get there.

Triple header at Lidcombe Oval this Saturday. Flegg 12pm RMC 1pm and Cup 3:45pm

Anyone know why the Magpies line-up for this week v Raiders hasn't been released as of yet, not on the WT site either?

Looks like most team lists aren't up. Maybe they're figuring out whats going on with the covid stuff
