Simpkins is close..shame he has to serve a 2 week suspension for a crusher tackle last week..

Madden isnt better than Brooks, Cini cant tackle. Tuki its a matter of time.


Madden will end up proving he can control a game and lead a team around better than Brooks.

Cini can tackle and has a real knack of making the right decision. He seems more clutch than most of our backs.

Tuki doesnt need time he needs an opportunity. One he isnt getting while the coach tries to appease the current playing squad. Most of whom are letting him down. (suspension obviously lets the coach of the hook this week)

Madden is a great talent. Let him gain experience in the NSW Cup to prepare him for the NRL.

Have only seen Madden play the one game, the televised reserve grade match vs Parra the week before last but he didn't really scream "pick me" with his performance in that game IMO. Brooks has been very ordinary this season so far but I'm not sure Madden has much more than Brooks at this stage. Time will tell.

We are only 5 weeks in and Maguire has dropped someone in 3 of the 5 weeks. Mrs Maguire must be a goer, or alternatively, you are making stuff up.

I agree with that assessment. Madden’s kicking game hasn’t look first grade standard either.

He needs to play more games in NSW Cup. He is not ready for the NRL and not especially ready to face the disaster that is our NRL team. Coming into WTs' NRL is a far different animal than young Walker coming into the Easts team.

He might "end up" proving that. When he does, he can replace Brooks. We are not there yet.

Ive seen his games this year and his defence isnt good. He may not be far off, simply because our outside backs are so bad, but the fact is, he is not there yet.

Tuki will get there, he is VERY young and our pack isnt ***our biggest*** problem at the moment.

How can you say Cini is up to first grade defensively , considering he will be in the defensive line , and not at the back ? Have you watched him ? So much arm grabbing . His attack is strong , and yardage work is of high quality , but if you think we are bleeding points low , this kid is not the answer .... yet . Madden is nowhere near as good as brooks , you just want to replace brooks because you’re sick of him , it has nothing to do with his quality or lack there of . And Tuki is 19 currently playing his first season of elite Rugby league . He has a great offload , is strong in his carries , but can be exposed in the defensive line mainly due to his lack of experience . Also his keenness to get rid of the ball can lead to errors , which is also about experience . That kid has been identified as the future of our club along with Blore Simpkins , Uto and Laurie . So relax with “give him a run” rubbish. Once he is deemed at enough of. Level he will come up , and never go down . You have to puck the right time , because if he comes up too soon , the damage it would do to him psychologically could be immense . Have a look at brooks for evidence of that .
