Kobe Bryant

Whenever I hear Kobe Bryant's name I immediately think of the Dave Chappelle skit where he lobs the used franger at the bin and sings out "Kobe!"

RIP for the Bryant family......

Sad he went, but heartbreaking his young daughter passed as well.....

It made me feel sick when I found out later his daughter was in the helicopter too.

He was a larger than life type personality. Those deaths always take a long time to process. The last death like this, for me anyway would have been Robin Williams.

Haha! Still say it every time I try to land something in a bin

It's surprising when you feel like that. Robin Williams was one for sure, but my most recent one was David Bowie...These people who have been in your life forever, and then the next minute they're gone. You don't realize what a positive affect they have on you and you just think they'll be around forever.

This reminds me that our time can be up anytime and death doesn't discriminate on talent, fame or wealth.

Chris Cornell was the one that was extremely hard for me. I had never felt the death of a celebrity before but that felt like losing a close personal friend and I haven't really gotten over it. So in saying that my thoughts go out to his family, friends but also his fans and supporters!

RIP mamba. I'm gonna be scrunching up so much paper at work tomorrow and yelling "KOooOOBE!!!!" as I shoot it in the bin!!!

Never been more affected by a "celebrity" death. This one hit really hard. RIP to Kobe, his daughter and the other passengers on board.

Absolutely. His music got (and still does,) me through difficult times. It felt as though he understood even though having not met me.

Yeah probably the two that were a big shock were Di and Steve Irwin especially Irwin

Was actually waiting at the start of a Magpies v Crushers game for kick off when the announcement of Dis death was made ....it was the Crushers last ever game as well

Managed to annoy Clinton Schiskofpe family as well by calling him a drug cheat at the game

Yeah, I'm alive because of Chris Cornell. When he dies I was in a very difficult place mentally, so with him going the way he did, it really had a profound effect on me!

Yeah same for me. Doesn't matter who you are it can be over in an instant. Always be caring to the ones you love...because you or them could be gone in an instant.
