Koroibete to Center?

My first thread and thought this would be an interesting discussion. We are short on centers and I think Koroibete may make a good one with his speed, his defence is not 100 percent but it is good. His defence can only get better there. Maybe Koroibete to the centers and Lawrence to NSW cup, In my opinion Ayshford has been really solid this year so I would not move him on his defence has been great missed 5 tackles in 4 games which is an average of 1.25 per game. On the other hand Lawrence has missed 12 missed tackles in the past 4 games which is an average of 3 per game. Ayshford has made 381 in 43 runs whilst Lawrence has made 292 in 37 runs. Hopefully Lawrence can either find himself a new position or get better at center and find his form in NSW cup. Now back on topic Koroibete at center will make our backline line up like this

1\. Tedesco
2\. Moltzen/Reddy
3\. Koroibete
4\. Ayshford
5\. Nofoalauma

It is way harder to defend at centre then on the wing, and Koro has trouble out there, will not work.
And most of Rowdy's missed tackles are from rushing up to quick, which is easily fixed unless Potter is behind this new move from Rowdy.

oh for f*cks sake, what else do people wanna do? Woods at 5/8? Maybe give ava a shot in the centres?! I mean, he is the fastest guy in the NRL and you don't want him at the position DESIGNED for speedy players that cant kick or pass? He fits that position perfectly and moving him is absurdity. His defence is a bit lacking as is his talking i assume so fullback is out, wing is the only other option.

Absolutely not. We need genuine speed on the wing and koroibete is the only flyer we have at the moment. He would be wasted in the centres IMO.

Surely trolling
Can't defend. Rowdy missed majority of those tackles other than Newcastle game because of Koro. Doubt he has a passing game to set up his winger.
Rowdy to NSW cup is definitely not on the cards and shouldn't be. No one deserves to take his spot. Can't drop people if there is no one even remotely capable of taking over.
Dropping him would kill his confidence and any chance of him returning to his best. He isn't going to improve playing against below average players

I'd play him at fullback before anywhere else. Not anytime soon though. His support play through the middle of the ruck is outstanding, one of the key attributes for a fullback.

I think Tedesco is what we need at fullback. We have a top young fullback and should not stop him from playing in that position by putting a talented winger there. To be honest have not watched League for long so I do not know everything about the game like I thought that Center and Winger are the same thing except for defence. I was more of a Super League supporter.

Koro is literally a sprinter from Fiji, all he knows is running straight. He has been slowly picking up things about League which is helping a lot but at this stage of his career right now he is a winger.

During an attacking set in the opposition's half, a centre is designed to hit holes and get through the line as well as setting up their winger. Marika is a big guy and has a good ability to bust tackles but anyone with speed like that is wasted in that position.

Wingers are naturally talented to out-run their opposition when they recieve the ball, Koro has that and will further develop it to be an absolute weapon out there. No point in breaking that up now.

Leave Korro on the wing, he would only get cramped in the centers and his passing and defending game needsplenty of work. Don't people on this forum shout, a Prop for a Prop, Half played by a half,…....Winger played by a winger? Leave it be.

Agreed, he needs to stay on the wing to suit his strengths, maybe in time when he learns more about the game and his game fullback might be an option if needed although Ted may hold that position for quite a while once he gets there.

he's still wet behind the ears.
Still learning positional play on the wing isnt he?
Maybe in time through the years we can talk this thread whether at fullback, centre or lock.
In saying that it has to be said that Fijians make flying wingers.

Leave Koro on the wing.

But what we do need is more threat on the other wing too. If Ayshford is playing centre he needs someone outside of him that can really light the afterburners to put doubt in the defence, unfortunately Reddy is not that person.

yeh but the opposition has less chance of bombing/kicking to Reddy & Ayshford's side because of our superior catching ability on that side.
With Cronk however, knowing him, he will test this theory.
