Has anyone got much info on these two not following the ESL that much .. as Sheens is talking to them in the UK.

A few posters on this forum had mentioned Woolf as a good option. Didn't he start at Keebra Park SHS so Sheens would be familiar with him? We need to look at all options other than Maguire.

Just know woolf done a good job with Tonga and St Helens. Although so did madge at Wigan and NZ.

I think Potter done a good job over there as well so coaching ESL like the players seems not a good gauge .

Best gauge would be performance of Tonga who not tier 1 side and what he did with them

The defence is outstanding in the esl…

Anything ESL related is a huge asterisks. Whether it’s coaches or players. The standard is below Qld cup, yet supporters delude themselves that we’re going to bring individuals over who will turn the club around.

I think what we need is a coach who has proven themselves in both the Super League and the NRL, preferably one who has coached an international side as well.

I get your point but there have been coaches from the UK who have done well here.

Trent Robinson has done well.

That's partly to due the nuggets The Raiders picked up in Hodgson, Whitehead, Bateman & Williams - 2 whom found the beer too cold in Canberra and returned to the old dart. Thompson at the Dogs has been a revelation - Not all Poms are any good!

Trent Robinson has done well.

Robinson was presented with a Lamborghini. We’d be presenting one of these guys with a rusty old Torana

Before he came they’d missed the finals twice in a row, but I know what you mean. On another note, Toranas go for a lot of money these days

Don’t know about Wane, re Wolfe if you were looking at replacing Hartigan I would say hell yes. He is a great identifier & developing skills look at Kikau, smith & Ponga, however he left the Cowboys because they didn’t see him as a coach & the Tongan players were trying to oust him (led by someone he bought) through the grades). I think he is a modern version of Wayne Collins.
