OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Tim Brasher made his debut under the Wok and it seems so far removed from this rubbish. This manure wouldn't occur unless there weren't suitors for Galvin's services.
The money in the game is totally different. The considerations aren't the same now as they were back then

I hope we keep him to make him do the contract, I'm sick of players walking out. But only a massive sook carries on like this and I don't think he handled the situation well, irrespective of whether he wants out or not. I'd prioritise other players at 5/8 if he's hoping to play elsewhere. Still can be useful to us at other positions but 5/8 is a crucial position and you don't want to build around him only for him to leave at the end of two years. At 2nd row or centre you can just slot someone else in when he leaves. I don't care how old he is. And the arrogance to think himself better than the club when he's done nothing.

Not knocking his ability, whether he's a 5/8, second rower or centre there's no doubt he can play: Fundamentals of quality defense, good passing game and decent kicking game are all there, along with just looking good and physical in his running and he looks very comfortable in 1st grade. Lots of things still to work on, though.

We have 12 months to prove to him that we are a club that can succeed at have faith in Richo he knows what he’s doing

We don't have to prove anything to players. They're paid to play for us and they need to do their job. The stefano contract, the way Brooks and Woods felt entitled and like they were doing us a favour by playing, it's all the wrong way around. These are massive contracts just to play footy. It's a privilege to play footy and for too long Tigers players think they're doing enough just by showing up. The problem at our club is that everyone is always looking at someone else to make the change, to put the effort in, to lift the side, and blaming everyone but themselves for the way they play...except Api, he does everything.

No extension no upgrade I assume. That's 2.5 years earning much much less, when only one serious injury from it being all over. His parents and agent can live with that if it happened.

Yep, nobody has put their hand up over the years
Just finger pointing & gaslighting the fans. Api has
been amazing in this regard, luai brings it as well

Well if we want him playing here beyond his current contract him and the rest of the playing group have to get some wins next year

I know he is 18 but I would love to see him come out, ahead of the questions from the journalists, stating his remorse and commitment to the club and Benji.
This would give the fans buy in to him as a person and Wests Tigers player.
Atm, while i think he has huge potential in the game, that is all it is and he has already rubbed the fans up the wrong way in requesting a release from the club at the start of his career.
He needs to win the fans back or he will become the angst of fans in games with his performances heavily scrutinize.
End of the day he has bought this on himself regardless of the actions from his manager (personally he should get rid of Moses and get another manager - maybe Braith haha).
He'll win me if he gets us a win

Are you guys that naive ? Lol

“Lachie should be in the room with Richo” lol

Lachie wants out dudes !!! He’s gonna stay but he’s not happy. He’s parents are taking the bullets so he can maintain a good relationship with fans and coaching staff until he goes …

Wow - some on the forum believe everything.

“Lachie said he doesn’t want to leave so it must be his parents or manager”

It’s probably ALL of them. But Lachie wants out. But he’s not getting a release.

So now his parents and agent take the haters.

Like using a real estate agent to sell your house and to get more money from the buyers. You don’t call them up and ask - they’ll say “we don’t have more” - are you going to call them liars? Then you’re screwed. Use a 3rd party to do your dealings. It’s cleaner
I’m more just commenting to the idea that that narrative ia true . No one is naive , I don’t think . Just speculating as to the reason anyone would conduct a meeting with an employees parents rather than the employee himself.
The only reason you would do that I believe, is you think you can get an Outcome that’s closer to the heart of the issue.
ESPECIALLY without Galvin not being present .
even if your right , it doesn’t really explain how the situation is being handled.
Sure the parents could be feeding Richo with dogshit , like the quarterbacks parents in Jerry Maguire, but yea the narrative doesn’t really align .
