I mean what team does this against the cellar dwellars? Professionalism flew out the window. Emotion can take one only so far. There has to be a balance.
 
If Galvin plays do we think that Luai and Appi will be pissed off he’s back in the team and maybe other players , could Luai use his get out clause due to weak management / Richo not holding firm , Luai already said he would need to earn his way back , that is not 1 games it’s many

It's not about Galvin as much as it is our team being successful on the park. Isn't that what professional constitutes? We keep losing fans lose trust in the organisation with or without Galvin. This is not about Galvin any more. It's the fans that are the bedrock. And losing sucks.

Being professional means consistently doing the right thing at the right time without conscious forethought or effort. This is more important than the scoreboard.

We don't know what's come out behind the scenes here.

He lined up for Wests after lodging a legal letter about bullying (indirectly by his manager).

If he was really bullied he would withdraw himself from playing.

I actually think this is the club calling their bluff..

Because if it had legs, his management team wouldn't let him play.

If I was a player I wouldn't play with him at all. And if I was richo he'd never wear our jersey again.

But I think picking him in front of a rabid home crowd and putting it all back on him is not a bad little option to gain the ascendancy again

I agree to a certain point that it shuts the bullying allegations down. Where it becomes s problem and I think fans will turn on Benji imo is if the golden child is still named in the halves with Luai once Latu is ready to go. As far as I'm concerned Galvins halves jersey belongs to Latu now, he is our future. The good thing is I think the club should be fine if they send Galvin back to the Magpies once Latu comes back, reason being Galvin and his management clearly came out and stated they were giving the Tigers plenty of notice to sort our future out. Part of that includes Latu taking his spot, so he can't really claim bullying, though iv no doubt they will try. If Latu is fit and still at 18th man, I will be livid. If Benji keeps Galvin in the halves to make finals this year we're cutting our nose to spite our face. I honestly think as soon as Latu is fit, Galvin gets his release. I hope I'm wrong and Richo shows were not doormats, though if we were going to release him it would be as soon as Latu is ready to step in to fill the breach.

Spon on, if his management were genuine with their allegations, just on the basis of his well being and not making things for him worse, you wouldn't even allow him to train with the N.R.L squad, let alone play with them. He comes back to training play at Leichardt with the guys, how can they claim bullying. Other thing I'm concerned with is we want to build a strong culture and standard at the club, does only sitting him out for 1 game undermine that, would the other players get upset and turn on Benji for I guess lack of a better term caving by allowing him back so soon. Can't imagine he has apologised yet to Benji or the group. The players have taken flack for nothing posts to support Benji and what they're trying to build. Just hope Luai, Turuva and others who spoke out against it don't feel they've been sold out, by the golden child only being given 1 game out of N.R.L.

So if we lose at least we can blame Galvin again. And at what point do the players step up - the rest of the team. And if we lose who will ascend? Not the fans. Not the club.

feel like wherever we turn it's arguably the wrong decision, but it certainly removes any allegation of bullying or creating an unsafe workplace. easiest way to shut up all stakeholders is to win games.

Best option was when we released the press release last week we also tell Galvin to spend a fortnight with his family just to get him out of the spotlight.

Maybe a way of earning back the trust of the teammates is accepting the demotion and playing your hardest in the tier below to earn back selection.

A huge name featured on the NSW Cup teamsheets this weekend – L. Galvin. Galvin, who was dropped to reserve grade amid the drama that has engulfed the sport over his desire to leave the Tigers, started at five-eighth for the Western Suburbs Magpies and showed plenty of intent with ball in hand, running for over 200 metres. Remarkably, he carried the ball 36 times. Galvin also set up a try and made 21 tackles as the Magpies were defeated by the Eels (22-10). He’s too good to be playing reserve grade, but it’s unclear whether he’ll be recalled to the NRL by Benji Marshall.

Sounds like Galvin still just wants to play football regardless of what’s going on in the background.

If he starts kicking stones just petition the N.R.L not to register a contract for him till our one expires. Pay him to sit at home.

36 carries. That can't be right. I can't recall any player having that many carries of the ball, not even Paul Gallen at the peak of his peptide powers.
