I’m not as high on him as others even though I know he has played well this year. He beats a man on the outside in limited space, that’s a big tick. Things I’d like to see him improve.

• more tough carries out of yardage
• more positive talk and body language, always looks like he’s just backed $1.40 favourite who didn’t jump.
• higher work rate overall, he tends to wait for the game to come to him.

Given early ball, he’s a class player, but compared to your crichtons and farnworths, he’s still an average joe. I get why Lachy would be excited about linking with the Dogs outside backs.
