On Gould's opinion on signing Galvin, did anyone notice he prefaced what he said with "at the moment". He said the club was concentrating on players in its system but prefaced with "at the moment".

He also was quiet forthright in saying that tigers didn’t even make the offerI'm puzzled by the Gould comment that there is an untenable issue that hasn't been brought to light needs to be resolved.
Firstly, what is the issue?
Secondly, if it is untenable, how can it be resolved?
Many a helicopter dad has ruined the sporting careers of their child before it even begins. Hope this isn’t the case for Lachlan.I mean it's interesting how publicly involved the parents have been in this story. I mean I wouldn't know any other nrl players parents (except obviously those who played them selves) yet for Lachly we had both parents in the news, his dad being a key part of negotiations.
Never a good sign for an adult to still have their parents so involved - imagine someone coming in for a job interview at 19 for any other form of work and bringing their dad with them
I like what you did there:That's even worse than Moses. Making the decision. And If it is true then why are player managers required. Why not cut out the middle man and take all the prophet?
Common sense we haven’t seen at our club in a long while.A couple of gems from Richardson - you can't buy players without money so I get the money first and then wait to see who comes available. Also that negs are done confidentially and only he and Benji know the targets. He is great to listen too.
If Galvin was free to leave today , Dogs would be all over it , Sexton would be sorry mate no deal hear , 100% Gould would grab him specially after dropping Daddy Galvin a few lines of , your son will blossom under Ceraldo , he play SOO. In 2026 , he play for Australia soon , he will be our poster boy , and you can come in and do what ever you like your the manOn Gould's opinion on signing Galvin, did anyone notice he prefaced what he said with "at the moment". I have no doubt now camp Galvin is furious that Richo refused the earlier release requests and has been compiling said dossier to support this new legal strategy.99% agree but the bullying accusations & legal letters are a cheap tactic by a low-life to try to force an early release. That should worry every NRL club. The Clubs need to stand strong against those few snakes slithering about.
Just look at what the shit fight dealing with Ponga's old man must be.I mean it's interesting how publicly involved the parents have been in this story. I reckon he's getting more than that. 🤣Dad wants his 6% to.
Our offer inflated his price somewhat but the dad interference has also possibly put some clubs off given the influence he has over Lachlan - no matter how often people talk about the lovely family - players and clubs will know the truth whatever that maybe. And or maybe the obsession for Parramatta is too far ingrainedIf Galvin was free to leave today , Dogs would be all over it , Sexton would be sorry mate no deal hear , 100% Gould would grab him specially after dropping Daddy Galvin a few lines of , your son will blossom under Ceraldo , he play SOO. Good debriefing Tucker.I actually don’t think it’s all that complicated.
He has been here over 3 years and during that time, he and his parents have seen the club receive
Add to that the board in fighting, Hagi and Pascoe, 2 coaches sacked, lots of players leaving contracts early…..their mind was made up in 2023. The club threw a Hail Mary at them last year promoting him way ahead of time but the spoon finish likely sealed it. He was gone.
- 3 x wooden spoons at NRL level,
- 1 x spoon, and 2 x bottom 3 finishes at KOE level
- Mixed results in Flegg but one of those was also a spoon.
Nothing that’s occurred in 2025 has affected their decision. All the noise around Luai and co is just that. They found a better offer and that’s that. It’s not Benji’s or Richo’s or the player’s fault….its just the perfect storm of shit from 2022-24 that convinced them this place isn’t for them and that’s not a betrayal or snake behaviour or anything else…it’s just human nature to protect your son.
As a very stupid man once uttered…it is what it is and the club is paying for the pathetic performances it’s put in over the past 3 seasons.
But his team obviously things he’s a metamorphosis of Langer, Thurston & Johns. Why would they be worried about Bud & Latu?Good debriefing Tucker.
I would like to add, the likely tipping point may have been the way Tim Sheens was treated? The constant changing of his job description followed by an unceremonious sacking. A legend of the game who had Galvin’s footballing future mapped out for him. All of his dreams and aspirations at Tigers became a puff of vapour as the club started stockpiling halves.
An epiphany for the previous administration.A couple of gems from Richardson - you can't buy players without money so I get the money first and then wait to see who comes available. Also that negs are done confidentially and only he and Benji know the targets. He is great to listen too.
Not worried about the players but concerned about the direction of the club and its erratic decisions. But his team obviously things he’s a metamorphosis of Langer, Thurston & Johns. Why would they be worried about Bud & Latu?
Not sure if It's been widely discussed in media, etc. I know we've all raised the topic on here of Galvin's future position being maybe in the backrow. Perhaps this is what Gould is referring to?I'm puzzled by the Gould comment that there is an untenable issue that hasn't been brought to light needs to be resolved.

The smiles part of his "brand", mate. Gotta maintain the image.I hope someone has told Galvin to put the stupid smile away this weekend. If he runs out after all this, particularly to boos and smiles like he has been it's a bad look. He should be all business, determined to be the best player on the field and shut the crowd up with a steely look about him. Show the club and fans some respect and don't fake smile
Fair. Not worried about the players but concerned about the direction of the club and its erratic decisions.
Richo wouldn't have mentioned it to Lachlan? And then the parents wouldn’t take Richo’s calls. Imagine if Lachy didn’t know about that side of it.
Most 19 year olds aren’t signing a on for a salary north of a million per year plus benefits.I mean it's interesting how publicly involved the parents have been in this story.
